Wtf is wrong with some people
They should be placed on a list with the same repercussion as the registered sex offender list.
Basically, forced to warn the whole neighborhood what lowlife scum they are.
This happens every year, it's basically a halloween tradition by this point.
Even the years where no needles will be found in a country or city or whatever, these articles will still be coming, wouldn't be surprised if some bored lonely mothers have their needles ready to make the local news each year too.
Somewhere, someone is always doing fucked shit.
Do people who do this ever get caught? What would the charge be? Attempted assult?
Is someone turning back the clock or is humanity really devolving into shit?
It's basically an urban legend at this point. Chances of biting into a razor in your Snickers are about as good as winning the Mega Millions Jackpot, but every year there are a slew of stories that drum up fear that it's standard practice, and they almost always turn out to be hoaxes.
I've still not found any free drugs in my candy, either. >:c
If I found something dangerous in my kids food I would print out a map and retrace my trick or treating route, then get a hold of as many parents in the community that I could to have them do the same. If someone was passing the shit out to every kid that came their door wouldn't you be able to track it back to that house, assuming most parents have a vague idea of which streets they went down?
Also, where are the stories of kids getting spontaneously sick or injured in the weeks after halloween? It's always photos of dangerous candy from the night of, but most parents don't actually check the stuff and it usually takes a while to get through the candy... You'd think there would be more early November stories of kids biting into needles or getting super high or poisoned.
Is this another halloween candy hoax ran by news, or has news ran so many hoaxes that they are creating copy cats who do it for real?
I mean, yeah. But when going through your kids giant pile of candy, I don't think you're going to know it was Brenda who gave out that Kitkat. You'd have to check the pieces while taking them from the house, which means a lot of eating or throwing away.
Never pass up a good opportunity to "Think of the children!"
