Actually kind of makes sense, diablo 3 was really successful on consoles so I guess they're interested in making it even more casual.
Man, you could feel the crowd dissapointment on the stream.
This along with wc3 remake for $40 after they spent the last 3 patches snuffing out the community for the original
Thats a big nope from me.
Seriously though, who came up with that idea, probably the team behind finances that wants to cash in on mobile.
Diablo IVI because you'll need an IV drip once we're done dabbing on you with our sick-ass bait and switch meme.
From what I hear, the guy announcing it sounded like he could feel everyone's disappointment but still had to keep promoting it.
I feel like this is primarily aimed at Asian market, since mobile gaming there is pretty big there. Also the company that is developing/co-developing it made their first MMO on PC first and then mobile only, so this makes me even more believe this is aimed at asian market mostly
You could hear it in the crowd the moment he started going on about "everybody uses mobile phones and we like to connect with people (...)". Not exactly Artifact announcement amounts of awkward, but he didn't give up on trying to hype people up.
Regardless this announcement shook me. It seems like it'll just keep people from buying Diablo 3 on the Switch if anything, which seems much more ideal for portable and co-op play.
fucking fantastic. i'm seeing diablo get worse and more casual before my very eyes.

This dude is a legend
Really loved that question
Holy fuck Blizzard is retarded. They could easily compete with Path of Exile but instead they do this dumb shit. Guess I'll keep playing PoE then :/
The best Diablo announcement was Janitor Leoric skin for HotS.
My mental state right now is somewhere between Star Going Supernova and Titanic's "My heart will go on (emotional funny flute version)"
the only good thing to come out of this was WC3: Reforged, so surprised you made the news article about a crap version of Diablo tbh
GGG Wins yet again.
Fucking Blizzard. I wanted a good Diablo again after so long...
PoE just reigns even longer now. At this point, GGG is just a far better developer that actually listens to community feedback.
Here is a game that the company it's being outsourced to has made.
Crusaders of Light on Steam
I suspect Blizzard has sold them assets, hence "10 years of working together"
The only possibility of competition I can even see for GGG is the upcoming Torchlight game.
http://playdiablo4.com
But isn't the next next Torchlight game going to be an MMORPG? atleast that's what I've heard.
POE does not respect the player's time and forces them to waste hundreds of hours on complete bullshit while simultaneously having completely disproportionate difficulties between dungeons and bosses which lulls the player into a false sense of security and makes them get completely fucked over later on in the game, this problem only becomes somewhat fixed in act 8 which is ridiculously late into the game and already enough to trick the player into having a completely ruined build.
The game also allows you to immediately respawn next to the boss room while having the boss still damaged and beat him in a half assed manner that is incredibly unsatisfying and humiliating.
Path of Exile also does not allow you to fix any of your mistakes or adjust any of your strategies in any convenient way and deliberately attempts to cock block all attempts to correct anything.
It's doing something of a model akin to PoE. Apparently they want it to be focused around making multiple characters in a realm.
They removed the clip lmao, here a mirror:

Do they not have brains???
The biggest problem that I noticed with torchlight would be lack of depth and intensity I think. In order for an ARPG to be actually interesting it either needs to be kind of sophisticated or really challenging in a fun way or both.
Another problem that I noticed is dungeons dragging on for way too long, however there is nothing necessarily wrong with having a long dungeon if it's actually interesting.
Admittedly I have a lot of nostalgia for 2 with mods back a while ago.
From the trailer it looks like they actually tried to make it interesting and special, I dono
Still not gonna play it because mobile.
