Did they seriously not learn from C&C mobile during E3?
Alright Blizzard, where did you hide the microtransactions. We all know they're there, no need to keep them under wraps.
Even on the description on the Blizzcon schedule was enough to make me just reread it like three times. What a fucking joke
Yikes. RIP Diablo
Honestly an ARPG is probably a great genre to transition into mobile since they're usually massive clickfests. Just replace the mouse with the touchscreen and screen buttons for hotkeys and it'd probably play pretty decently. I do wish they would just port Diablo I and II to mobile though, maybe have some WiFi lan or something.
If it's not a micro-transaction burdened mess then I have hope for this. Diablo can be a fairly laid back game and I can see it working on mobile, if they actually treat it like a real game and not another money grab like every other game on Play and App store.
But that's just me being optimistic I guess.
If the Overwatch panel is just about a mobile OW game I'm going to shit a dick
Or Dungeon Keeper game from years ago?

dont mind me, just cleaning up because that last announcement was literally shit
what a kick in the fucking balls tbh
Ouch man. Really feel bad for the people who went to blizzcon for the Diablo panel
I'd been seeing hype for whatever Diablo-related thing they were planning to announce for Blizzcon, but wasn't really able to get into it. After D3 I had just sorta' come to terms with the fact that Blizzard probably didn't really have a vision for Diablo that really matched what I wanted to play, and PoE is around now anyways. I'd sorta' weird though, it feels like they just kinda' decided they didn't feel like actually competing in the genre, lol. I wouldn't be surprised if they had something bigger in the pipe set to be announced next year or something, but that'll be cold comfort for disappointed fans.
Overall though, I'm pleased with other things that have come out of Blizzcon so far. Ashe looks cool for OW and WoW Classic seems to be on the right track, so I'm coming out of this with generally positive feels. I just feel sorry for people that were really hoping for something big on the Diablo front this year because hoooey did they get boned.
This should've been either a side panel announcement or done earlier in the opening presentation. Holding it 'till last and making it a main-event announcement was a dick move regardless of what you think about a Diablo mobile game.

but why
Frankly, even crosswords are awkward to do with touchscreens.
Oof, i feel like i'm being Federation Force'd again. Thanks Blizz.
While I get that its not what people wanted, I dont doubt it's going to be a quality mobile game and make billions in china or smt
Hearthstone has many issues and I quit it long ago over the ccg p2w aspect but it's undeniably well made and still absurdly popular.
Never mind that silly optimism. It's outsourced("made in partnership") to a Chinese mobile game company NetEase that's already has a diablo clone for mobile. Now I'm just sad.
I didn't think it was so bad having a mobile version of diablo. Then I remembered diablos coming to the switch which is an infinitely better for mobile gaming.
Why is it I continue to let Blizzard play with my heart so much. So gross.
Fat chance, their other mobile games are filled to the brim with P2W microtransactions, including Crusaders of Light, whose gameplay style this Diablo game inherits.
It's overtaken it at this point.
Listen, honestly... I’m real tired of people yelling about micro
transactions and monetisation concepts the SECOND you talk about mobile
games. Y’all sound like a broken record.
Both of these things exist in AAA.
Both of these things are not by default bad. Just different.
I've never read something so wrong in my life
*customers tell the company what they'd actually like to buy*
"WOW THE ENTITLEMENT"
Holy fuck what is wrong with the games industry
Maybe we're entitled because companies should be forming around the consumer, not the other way around
