Hello! Joining a server is a real problem for me. Every time I try to join a server in Rust, the assets load and warmup and the scenes and everything else loads perfectly fine. Then when the actual game is starting, Rust just dissapears and I see the desktop. it's not that the window have changed but just that Rust is transparent because I can't touch anything on the desktop. But I can still hear sounds and it's running in the task manager.
Any solutions or ideas?
Thanks
You're probably running out of memory. Try lowering your settings.
That is what I don't understand. I have the task manager on my other screen so I can check the memory usage. But in reality, my memory usage is only around 80% with all the other stuff in the background. So I don't see how I might be running out of memory.
It may be something else then. Try verifying game cache.
I now did that and I formated my PC. The game worked perfectly for a couple of times. After a while I started getting really low FPS. Like 1 FPS low. I started task manager on the side and saw that the ram was good, but the CPU and GPU where like crazy. They where 98-100% both. with like Rust taking 95% and the rest was other shit. So now I'm starting to really wonder if it is about the ram.
Rust is still extremely unoptimized. At this point, you can wait and hope that the next update improves things, or wait for the one afterwards.
