How many times do we have to teach you this lesson, old man?
it's not political ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Something about the idea of these big AAA companies going out of their way to delete comments and censor the overwhelming backlash that's just become a meme over the last 24 hours is highly amusing to me. If you're giving orders to shut down those mean comments! I think you might have to take a step back and look at the product you've just shown off
Alright kids, how did Metokour blamed the SJWs now?
It seems like none of these companies ever learn any kind of lesson and just continue to do the same thing over and over, except progressively worse than the last.
how does this make sense in anyone's head, let alone an executive's??
I watched the whole thing, it's not really a typical Metokur video
Another respectable name in game industry down the toilet.
It's too late for them to backpedal and just can the game so might as well make sure the ignorant sees the better side of the impression.
Besides, you have no idea how many times I've heard developers and producers (not just the games industry) give the excuse of "the consumers simply aren't ready". Not their fault!
Absolutely incredible. Just a few hours after Jim's upload, his metrics are already out of date. They've cut it from about the 210k dislikes, down to 100k. This is damage control at its finest.

If a company can manually adjust the ratings, then what is even the point of ratings?
To trick the people that actually look at the ratings for advice.
I guess you guys aren't ready for that yet. But your kids are gonna love it.
Diablo Immortal more like Diablo Snore-tal sorry
He sounds a bit over-exaggerated in the video though. Yeah its pretty stupid for blizz to cash in on the mobile genre and youtube/google is fucked and biased towards the big guys as always, but in the end ActiBlizz or NetEase doesnt care about you and probably going to make it an autoplaying garbage catered to the whales and everyone is going to forget about it in like a month or so
hooray games industry
This is how Metokur lures in people to support him.
Make videos about easy subjects to criticize that everyone can agree on, and then indoctrinate people with Trump propaganda.
See I'm kind of torn on the metokur debate 'thing' going on whenever these threads get posted, 'cuz I completely see that he's arrogant and has super unfavorable views. But I just can't swallow this "planned conversion" idea, where he makes intentionally innocent videos about video games specifically to lure people in to Trump propaganda. Because like, what if he just wants to make a video about video games?
Let's say Metokur one day renounced all of his political views, but didn't tell anyone. He experienced a totally unprecedented shift of morality and finds his old content extremely distasteful. With no way of knowing what his beliefs are from the video alone, you would still assume he's trying to covertly brainwash people with Trump propaganda, right?
Now such a scenario is so unlikely it's almost not even relevant, but I hope you can see what I'm trying to highlight here.
Sometimes he plugs trump memes into his non-political videos, and some people say that's the propaganda. I get that, but with a video like this, it's just not there. I just see a dude who usually makes political videos, but just isn't this time. This idea that he's constantly trying to convert people to his cause just seems bizarre, because again. He's arrogant, he's shortsighted and bigoted, but is he really this devious schemer?
I'm actually asking, too. Not trying to be cheeky or combative here. I just see a lot of talk about political dogwhistling and content creators with agendas. I especially hear a lot about these tactics coming from the alt-right. It's pretty scary stuff, but unfortunately to me it all sounds like it's from some out-there spy movie, y'know? I can't wrap my head around it sometimes.
Is it because he's generally a political person that it's safe to assume he's deploying these subtle tactics? If so, how can I personally tell the difference between a youtuber I might enjoy, whom I know has political views and might be passionate about them, and someone trying to actively brainwash me and other viewers? Metokur himself is probably a bad example to dissect because I can personally easily see why other people think he's dogwhistling. But speaking in general, this stuff seems really messy and hard to discern.
Just post a video on the topic by anybody else than him, i'm sure there isn't a shortage of them.
Everyone knows about the situation here and you know exactly the reaction you'd have received by posting him.
It not being about politics doesnt mean he's not using the latest hot gamer outrage to spread his ideology in gaming circles.

could just be a user style.
Ding ding ding ding, we have a winner!
That right there as you described it is the entire point of Metokur/TIA's channels, he basically makes two types of video, alt-right propaganda and generic internet drama/pseudodrama videos designed purely to make more people watch the aforementioned propaganda. It was even more obvious the last time Bee got banned for shitposting these videos.
Ding ding ding ding!
Everyone I don't like is a nazi!
Trump aside, he's got a minor point. (And no I'm not trying to make this political).
It feels like recently ever since people found out being Very Angry and Loud on the internet makes Things Happen everyone jumps to that mode immediately. And the worrying thing is that because this does get results some people see the only valid way to get change is to be angry and loud.
And honestly, I don't like that. I'm not a fan of this Diablo Immortal but am I at "tweeting at the president telling him to do something about blizzard" levels? No, good grief. Do I think this was the right thing to announce at Blizzcon? No. They should have pulled a Bethesda and just formally announced Diablo 4 right after it, even if it was only showing a logo.
And "do you not have phones" is... an extremely poorly timed joke.
You've been banned for posting this Nazi twat several times now, at least one of them was a perma. Has it ever occured to you that maybe posting his crap is a bad idea, or do you just have no grasp of causality?
Haha, I get that you don't like him, but this sounds so stupid.
Just because you don't like the man doesn't mean you can't agree with him. And just because you agree with him on one thing doesn't mean you have to agree with everything else he says.
i have a grasp on this dik

only people who idolize nazi ideology, imagery, and figures should be called a nazi, and as far as i know metokur does not idolize any of those things. so he should not be called a nazi.
but that doesnt completely invalidate sparkle's argument.
not to downplay how toxic of a person i think metokur is.

If Mister Metokur managed to avoid politics in his video about this, that's a god damn miracle, because not talking about the "SJW" game journalists would have taken some serious restraint.
Nope, not this time! This time, he actually has a really good point, regardless of where you align on the political spectrum.
The too long didn't watch version is that Blizzard announced a Diablo game, a series loved by millions, as a spinoff on mobile devices made by some company that isn't them. Then they start deleting comments and ratings on the youtube trailer for it to make it not look as disastrous.
Metokurs actually right here. This is something that shoulden't be done.
