• Need help figuring out strange computer noise

You'll have to go through fans one by one and figure out which one is causing it. Could be that something is loose, or the fan itself is rattling.
Have you isolated it to your GPU by listening/removing it? It does sound like a mechanical vibration or grinding though so I'd continue to try and determine the affected component. Once isolated clean it as best you can.

Make sure your cable management is not interfering with any fans inside of your tower. Also, have you tried replacing any fans? It could also be a defect in the GPU's fan. The only thing I would think that would make any noise is a fan, or a hard drive. If its not any of the fans, try temporarily replacing the hard drive to see if that changes.
it sounds like a whir to me
sounds like fan rattling to me, my gpu does this every now and then but i just ignore it.
