• Animals are demanding some TLC

Love what you do, but consider the possibilities with existing materials to make immersion better. Palomino horses on the barren, Polar bears in the snow, crazy mad lethal chicken in trees (yes, they do sleep in trees) and that pesky wolf goes great with forests. https://twitter.com/LatteMotte/status/1059115713053556736 (give it some TLC pls folks, rt/like and make it spread) https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/248047/5f9164f0-fbb5-4bf4-bc69-3c9834bee9d7/image.png
I see this and I have to laugh and not you ,but rather the "situation" and state of AI animals. This has been an ongoing problem since conception. It took us nearly 3 1/2 years to get animal AI to even react somewhat like they should. And by that I mean, animals used to be able to use stealth lol they would run through trees, mountains, through your base (and even kill you in it), just stand there and not even run away. One of my favorite ones was being a able to hear a wolf but no see it. In every direction you turned that wolf was right there, you just couldnt see it. Used to freak me out! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KxgLKzbrLes Granted all this was due to Unity and since has been upgraded. Obviously the AI is in a MUCH better state than it ever has. With that said, I actually agree with you in placement of AI and do think certain species should be environmentally dependent. I am sure something will be done the closer to going live
One thing I dont miss is the "invisible" animals, you be attacked and sometimes killed by a wolf or bear and you would not even see it, And I dont miss getting killed by a wolf/bear/boar from 30 feet away, Sometimes the animals reactions are slow (with different game updates) and sometimes they run like greyhounds, The sight of a bear running towards you at incredible speed really gets your attention.
