New Caledonia votes on independence from France in landmark test..
Seems they voted to remain part of France https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-46087053
Great to see it stay with France, we'll need its help in the Pacific.
Final results showed that 56.4% chose to remain part of France ("Special collectivity") while 43.6% voted to leave (Independence) - a tighter result than some polls had predicted. Hmm, Its seems they slowly start realizing that French government has [uselessness but] using them for their coin industry and nothing else. But regardless the French president (Macron) still desperate intervene their right of self-determination months back as factor why they nearly close to stay as another Special status named territory.
Might help if you have a united group of European countries to help you out as well
Perhaps you could start an oceanic geopolitical superstate governed by a central commission, a concept of free trade and freedom of movement.
When has the EU exactly given a shit about this side of the world, last I checked they were buying into the One Belt, One Road scheme which we are trying to avoid and paying off the islands to also avoid.
