http://i.imgur.com/LRXxlfQ.png This thread is for discussion of all Games-Workhop related products, such as W40K and Warhammer fantasy/Age of Sigmar, including the Roleplaying games. Warhammer 40,000 (also known as Warhammer 40K or simply 40K) is a tabletop miniature wargame produced by Games Workshop, set in a dystopian science fantasy universe. More info about the lore and setting can be found at the Lexicanum There's a Discord Video games Wikipedia list because I'm lazy https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Games_Workshop_video_games Tabletop Lots of useful painting tutorials here You can find plenty of after action reports or other tutorials on YouTube. If you want to buy models, check with your local gaming store. They can often order them for you cheaper than buying from GW yourself. Visit the Warhammer Community site for the latest news As always if there's anything I've missed or you think should be added to the OP just say so and I'll update it.
@catbarf I've had some mixed experiences with Victoria stuff to be honest. Her casts come with a ludicrous amount of flash and the arms really don't fit together very well, they required a lot of greenstuffing to clean up. Also on her heavy weapons I've had some troublesome mold slippage.
Update on the warthog conversion I started last week, apparently OOP die-cast models are surprisingly easy to get ahold of. Entirely by coincidence (I assure you), apparently Tauros Venators can come in squadrons of 3, which I did not realise at first. Do these coincidences have anything to do with my plans? Well... https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/58205/cca643cc-ae87-4893-8557-28c004e0ac59/20181105_110609.jpg https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/58205/bc19ca90-ba47-4129-a855-6af0c0fa214a/4cf (1).png I may have a problem. I may also be searching for 3 more warthogs for...reasons...
@Fulcrum "Not keen on the beastmen, it's a bit too "fantasy in 40k"" https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/58249/2c633cc4-fad2-43c6-bf54-55bd4535f57b/image.png
https://www.warhammer-community.com/2018/11/05/5th-nov-blackstone-fortress-unboxedgw-homepage-post-1/ Blackstone sprue pics are up. Strangely enough it looks like the Wolf Chaos Lord is the only model getting his own sprue, so he's probably gonna get a character blister on his own.

I hate myself for posting this because this guy is pretty damn toxic but my coworker talked me into giving this a listen and I gotta say its pretty interesting maybe use adblock? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HNpSlUm-MHs I like the theory that AI detecting chaos is why they ultimately rebel against humanity
I painted a Kustom Boosta-Blasta, it was fun to paint. https://i.imgur.com/nLUKvYM.jpg https://i.imgur.com/i24UfXg.jpg

This is strangely not the first time The Doctor has lent his voice to Warhammer 40k, Tom Baker was in Fire Warrior.
David Tennant's natural voice is what I'd expect from a few of the Gaunt's ghosts characters. Get on it Gamesworksop, a Gaunt's ghost audio drama with David Tennant.
They putting all the stops on these new audiobooks. We also have Brian Blessed as Gotrek, which is amazing. What will we have next? Stephen Fry narrating one of the Warhammer Horror books?

DIGGANOBS!
I want to see an entire Imperial Guard regiment that has styled itself wholly after the Orks now.
They're called the Armageddon Ork Hunters.
Not bad but could be orkier.

That was pretty much what the Diggas were, except they were Imperial surveyors and not a guard regiment.
So...the big robot guy from Blackstone Fortress is a genuine Man of Iron. That's huge. He's probably been swapping his consciousness from body to body for centuries. https://i.redd.it/7e1ybol0l5x11.jpg
Holy fuck thats awesome. Everything I've seen from Blackstone Fortress has been awesome.
GW's getting pretty ballsy with recent fluff additions.
I need a Man of Iron.

Is there a price for Blackstone Fortress yet? I think I need to get it.
$150
It's a Marboot.
The problem is is that he lacks Astra Militarum as a keyword like the priests in the guard book so you'll need a Ministorum detachment to bring him unless GW let's you bring the Blackstone characters in Amy Imperial detachment.
I want to know why the missionary has the most visible armor of any of the Blackstone explorers save the robot, yet her saves are on par with a poxwalker.
Yo crazy idea but what if GW expanded on the whole "man of iron outa nowhere" thing and did a ynnari style box with 3 of them (somehow tied to the fortress) that let you run certain admech/imperial units as if they were actually AI rather than being tied to humans ala brain powered bots? Give them some special rules about being AI therefore reacting quicker or something and boom new fluff faction that just relies on existing ones so balancing is easy.
