Lot of farmers here are resorting to middle-manning it via Canada or South America. This is also another reason so many farmers here are in support of growing cannabis and industrial hemp. It's like the ideal solution for this trade war crap.
The ideal solution to this "trade war crap" would be for farmers to stop voting for Republicans in such huge numbers.
Republicans decimate the economy nearly every time they get into office, with the fallout usually falling on the subsequent Democrat president; Trump made it clear that he'd be no different, and yet Farmers voted him in in swathes. Now they are watching as the economy goes to shit and they are now literally incapable of selling their crops, and I guarantee they'll still vote for Trump(or any other Republican) next election.
Well, not counting the farmers who commit suicide because they're going to go bankrupt unless they sell the farm.
We don't hear about those in national news very often, but they've been on the rise since Trump started his trade war.

Pretty sure 'ghost town' is in my cities future because of these tarrifs. Soy is really all we got, that and Caterpillar and I've heard they're getting royally fucked by this too.

Hey now! He's also the proud owner of not one but multiple failed casinos (which are supposed to be notoriously easy for printing money and getting good returns).
Probably just a massive waste at first and then a reduction in how much they're growing, but that's a huge reduction though and it'd fuck the market on Soy Beans.
