"p-please be gentle"
Get ready for two years of Pelosi and co supporting trumps agenda for the most part in the name of "bipartisanship" and "taking the high road"
Fuck off, you're a fascist snake who would line Democrats up in front of a firing squad if it meant furthering your own interests, your fake calls for bipartisanship aren't fooling anyone.
Except Pelosi sadly.
pelosi shut the fuck up
America is a lost cause. You get to pick either the nazis or the nazi appeasers.
This is just usual political talk from Trump and Pelosi. Most Democrats in Congress despise Trump
spineless
Yeah, how about no. For once we have your balls in a vice. It's payback time.
This could be good for the US, if the democrats and republicans can work together on things people want. Division/stalemate wastes time, money and resources.
I don't see how you can say this when the only time Republicans want to work with Democrats is when their position is in danger, like right now. Any other time they don't give a fuck. If they solidify their power after working together, they will have no interest in doing it again after that until they are in jeopardy again.
I think that same rule can apply to when the democrats have control/complete power, or any political party that's got a majority, why work with the opposition when they have no power/voice?
The republicans spent the last 8 years of the Obama presidency doing everything they could to block democrats and not once compromising on their side of issues, leaving the democrats trying to do so and caving into republican demands. I swear to fucking god if Pelosi actually tries to compromise with Trump I might actually consider assassination as the only way to get the corruption out of the democratic party...
He probably does want bipartisanship, just the kind that puts Democratic leadership at odds with the angrier part of its base.
It does, but democrats have always been more open to bipartisanship. Our two parties have historically always been at each other's throats, but it's gotten much worse in the past decade with a petty all or nothing mentality, if we can't have the seats then you might as well not have them either, since we won't allow you to pass anything out of spite. Our system is deeply flawed, our President doesn't care as he benefits from it, and so do the rest in government as they wan't to keep the status quo. No one is doing anything about it except hollow promises for bipartisanship every now and again, as if it's the ultimate act of sacrifice and extending the olive branch, when it should be a default mode of operation in a democratic country.
Obama tried to work with the Republicans to make compromises, but the GOP's idea of compromise was "my way or the highway" How can you reach a compromise if the other side isn't willing to meet you in the middle? Democrats have held out olive branches several times and the GOP never failed to bat them away.
US politics need to change, be more like european countries where more than two parties can exist, the UK system is broken too, but at least the UK can have other parties that can form a coalition. A two party system is not democratic. Relevant: https://cdn-images-1.medium.com/max/500/0*TRvdtVVN9egpvxBS.jpg
How do you continuously manage to be so hilariously wrong about everything? Blocking policies from Trump's GOP is hardly a waste of time, and if it's so much of a waste of money and resources, then there lies just as much fault with the Republicans for pulling this very same stunt with Obama's administration.
Literally paid opposition lol, the US is doomed unless the people take the situation into their own hands, not some broken electoral system.
obstruct the fuck out of these pissants
Not a chance, asshole. It's time for the Dems to completely stonewall anything the GOP try to push through - unless, of course, it's genuinely in the interests of the American public. But this is the GOP we're talking about. It won't be.
This is actively contributing to the problem
WHY does she even bother with this bipartisan bullshit!? Obstruct the shit out of Trump until 2020, I'd rather have 2 years of solid gridlock stopping any GOP masterplans than this. Does this dumb broad not remember the 8 years of GOP obstruction we suffered under Obama?
Democrats can't really do the bad things Republicans do since they're much weaker on the "reality denying propaganda" front.
You think the whole world is a lost cause Endlessly parroting your own pessimism doesn't help anyone, yourself least of all
Woah now, you do realize Garry has been contacted by the secret service before for a post like this right?
I'm not actually seriously considering it, it's more of an expression of how frustrated with the system I am.
Except it doesn't. Even when Democrats held a majority during Obama's term, he reached across the aisle. Trump did exactly the opposite, and now he wants cooperation when he's on the ropes? Fuck him with a rusty mitre saw.
Fucking pissant calls for numerous acts of domestic terrorism and assault as well as praising acts of hate committed by white supremacists; insults numerous, innocent people over Twitter; barely spends any of his day actually working and instead wastes tons of taxpayer dollars golfing; insults global leaders - our closest allies while praising all the great deeds that he has "supposedly" done; has strained relationship with our neighbors to the north and south... not to mention the likely amount of fraud and conspiracy that has yet to arise from his presidency. Yet Pelosi has the absolute gall to suggest we try to hold hands and sing kumbaya? Fuck right on off with that shit.
