Esports Arena is one of the largest professional gaming locales in the United States currently with a number of sites around the West Coast where a multitude of events are held every
week including Wednesday Night Fights in Orange County, California for the fighting game crowd.
The company recently announced that they have partnered with Walmart stores in the United States to bring special Esports Arena installments to the Supercenters for players and
shoppers to come together to play some of the most popular competitive games currently on the market.
There are currently five locations planned for the new initiative, and three of those locations have reportedly already opened as of November 3rd in Spokane Valley, Washington along
with Roseville, California and Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Weekly events are scheduled to take place essentially every night of the week beginning at 7:00 p.m. local time. Street Fighter 5 is currently listed for Wednesday nights to possibly
coincide with Wednesday Night Fights while the other weekdays feature titles like League of Legends, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, Overwatch, Hearthstone and Fortnite. Weekend
tournaments are also planned for Fortnite and Call of Duty.
Each Walmart store will feature around 25 PC / PlayStation 4 stations networked together with the setups at other Esports Arena locations, so players have an even larger pool to play
against. The cost for free play at these venues is said to be $5 per hour while venue or League play events will cost $10.
This announcement also coincided with the reveal that Esports Arena will be selling its own OverPowered line of gaming PCs that will be used at all of their locations and sold
exclusively by Walmart. You can check out images of the new gaming locations along with their announcement video after the jump, and let us know if you'll be sneaking away from
you significant other / parents as they shop to get some games in.

How the FUCK did Esports Arena get a license agreement that good?
The Walmarts around here already attract some really trashy people. I can't wait to see what would happen with esports thrown into the mix
Oh god, I hope nobody ends up dying because of this
no melee?
Dude I'm blocking his attacks but the buttons aren't doing anything HUEHUEHEU woooooow *snorts*
Street Fighter V fucking sucks though.
Interesting venue... personally not a fan of e-sports or competitive gaming
You know, I wish they'd just go back to how it used to be, with a demo unit setup to try new games.
You don't need an 'arena', just a place for kids to stand and wait for their parents to finish shopping.
Can't say i'm against the idea. Given that it's walmart it'll probably be a shitshow but if other places nick the idea it might be alright.
I can picture him saying tthat while wearing a Wal-Mart vest
Ride that fad train, boys.
this is a weird timeline.
I swear if it turns out this was benefit of the tradeoff of the state politics is right now, i'm going straight to god and demanding a refund.
Do you want the arenas to rot of stench?
the decompositional aura of the terminally owned, perhaps
Melee is bad
Nah, I'd say it's developed into a pretty solid game since release. The networking is considerably better after a recent overhaul too.
But GStop wants to be Hot Topic 2.0.
Hell, it's just a lose/lose for me.
Somebody send me back to the Wii U/Bernie timeline. I'll even take Wii U/Hillary in a pinch.
Yeah walmart is fucking weird.
I live in Fremont, CA, right in silicon valley and the HQ of Tesla and several other corporations and at night you will still find rednecks with big trucks and big flagpoles having a bbq in the parking lot. I've never seen those people in the day.
It's already in a Walmart
