After serving on the court for 25 years, she may decide to enter an early retirement at the ripe age of 85 if a serious medical issue is discovered, opening up another Supreme Court seat to be filled by the current administration.
No no no.
fuck fuck fuck fuck.
This just happened to my Grandmother (same age) fortunately she was back to normal in under 2 weeks. Here's hoping it goes as well for Notorious RBG.
She's broken her ribs recently before. It's not reason to panic just yet.
Old age doesn't necessarily mean she's sickly and fragile, despite the ribs. Hopefully she'll be back on her feet soon.
Just fuck everything fam.
This happened to my Mom a few weeks ago, three fractured ribs. She's okay now, going back to work very soon. I think Ruth will pull through.
She has the genes to live to 105
This is a day (a couple maybe?) after a thread on T_D featuring a grim reaper Pepe standing behind RBG. Classy.
My great grandmother is 98. She broke her arm, messed up her shoulder (don't remember how severe) and for some time we were told by family (that wanted to shove her in a home) that the socket had been crushed. Fast forward 6 months, she's recovered. On the flip side, her husband had clogged arteries that would lead to massive strokes in a body doctors described as "functioning half the age it appeared", but the final blow was falling from a ladder and breaking his hip. He passed in 1998. He'd be 105 today. Ginsburg's from a different generation. This is the period of time that saw men storming the beaches of Normandy and came back to a normal life not too long later. Assuming nothing serious has happened, she should hopefully come back from this. The bigger thing that should be feared is not whether she survives it, it's whether she determines if her health is worth it. I think she'll truck it out but any diagnosis from a medical professional could be enough to sway her. Personally, I don't think she will walk away having endured far worse but people are unpredictable, and so is a broken bone when you get to be old enough.
this thread makes me care more for seniors like my grandma (whom I live with and take care of). they are like glass.
if by "come back to a normal life" you mean frequent PTSD, rampant alchoholism and domestic violence as well as disability, sure.
To everyone in this thread, bad news.
???
What are you talking about? She's fine, she already went back to her duties.
funky bait. unfortunately it usually takes substance otherwise you won't catch any fish on your hook.
Rumors of her colon cancer coming back and her retiring sometime next year, currently unconfirmed.
Let me guess you saw it on 4chan?
Source
Well if YOU said it, it MUST be true.
Qanon is the opposite of a valid source.

Why was this more than one post?
The SM Observer is yellow journalism at best. Like when they said John McCain was retiring long before he died and that his wife would take his seat. Or when they claimed Kanye West got a job in the Dept of Interior. They're garbage, if RBG was retiring the whole goddamn country would be talking about it, especially large media outlets.
The "source" is also apparently so obscure Media Bias Fact Check doesn't even have an article on it yet. Yeah, real credible journalism here, folks.
