• Improvements on farming

To start things off, farming is way more viable than people think. Being able to farm cloth and lowgrade (animal fat from fishes) is a big deal for bigger groups. The biggest problem right now is that the current system does no encourage scaling at all. Making a planter box base anywhere expect on a river is totally not viable, you simply have to be on a river. Last night I made 10 small watercatchers and 18 water purifiers, this could not supply enough water for my 6 planter boxes, which is insane. So there should be a more viable way to turn salt water into purified water, large water purifier for example. Now that electricity is making its way into the game I also think you should be able to make a sprinkler system connected to water barrels. This would also allow players to scale their farms without having to assign one player to constantly be there, its very time consuming at the moment. I also think an actual watering can would be a great idea, since you can be more precise on how much water you want to use. For now you just splash 4000 a couple times, which is the reason why water purifiers and water catchers isn't viable, you need like 100.000. Introducing actual bait for fish traps is something I also think would be great, sell it at outpost for example, then you effectively use your fish traps without having to use actual food in the first place. To sum it up, A more viable way to supply water for farms (Not having to build it in a river), my ideas here is either to make a large water purifier or a water can which can more accurately split the water between the planter boxes so you don't have to use as much. Secondly water sprinklers that you connect to water barrels that would sprinkle water on your plants for you so that no one has to constantly check on it. Thirdly actual fish bait sold in outpost that would remove the current problem of needing food to produce food via fish traps. Thanks //
I just make a base near a fresh water river and pick pumpkins and corn all day!
omg a sprinkler system, thats great!
