In 1918, 11th of November, 100 years ago, the Regency Council of Kingdom of Poland (under Central Powers' control) handed over to Pilsudski, who returned to Warsaw from Magdeburg on the 10th of Nov, the leadership over army, de facto over the Kingdom of Poland (however the full control was established on 14th, when Regency Council was dissolved). It's worth to note that Poland technically regained independence the day before, on the 10th of November, when Reich's governor of Warsaw Government formally handed over control to the Regency Councik and German army stationed in Poland started evacuating to Germany). Pilsudski then started forming the new government and uniting all territory of Poland. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/137/d1c4d2cb-e016-466e-a7d4-72ecce70aea2/eaf663b5-dc70-44a3-9bc7-3920b0c55f5a.jpg (Pulsudski in the middle) https://youtu.be/_k24j4F2o9w Thread Theme
Born that same year was Józef Franczak, the last Cursed Soldier who fought for twenty-four out of his forty-five years before falling in sixty-three. https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/110097/2675f77e-d441-45b1-beac-547372f3ff15/image.png
