I've never seen the inside of a durian, that looks like a dead molerat, what the everloving fuck
A delicacy to some, disgusting to most others. Believe it or not the smell of its insides is apparently worse then its appearance.
It is uniquely terrible. A friend and I bought some from an asian market to try once. The taste does not compensate for the stink, as we'd heard from some (asian) friends. I'd think they were having us on, except for the fact that it is considered a delicacy in some places.
Saying "It's so bad" doesn't even describe the smell. my mother got one of these and made the horrible mistake of cutting it open inside the house, then she threw the remains in the trash, because apparently the smell didn't bother her. Bear in mind when this fruit is opened it smells like sour rancid feet, and is as pungent being 10 meters away from the source and being 3 rooms away as it is standing 1 meter away from the source.
wow look at all these PANSIES can't even handle THE KING OF FRUIT. /s tbh if your durian is imported from 8000 miles away I'm unsure what it would smell and taste like. I eat all my durians fresh.
