Oh yay. I was reading this really interesting book, All Yesterdays. It's a very interesting piece regarding the reconstruction of dinosaurs and other animals through fossils. How it's done, the limitations, etc.
Well anyway, near the end of the book there's a section called "All Todays", which is modern animals today reconstructed from just their skeleton, imagining we knew nothing about them. It's a pretty fun read. They had a section on the toad, so I thought it'd be appropriate.
This is what these hypothetical re-constructors have to say about the toad:
A Toad ambles merrily along the Holocene forest floor. This
reconstruction is now considered to be erroneous since their longer hindlimbs
indicate that Toads were possibly bipedal.

The heart is from the liner art for Houkago Tea Time 1 iirc since K-ON! was my first proper anime, Mugi because my first Avatar as a Goldy Boi was her flexing. Honestly Mugi isn't even my favourite character in it but I feel having her as my avatar became my "thing" after a bunch of inconsistent random images
been a fan of the Alien movies ever since it scared me as a child. an actual xenomorph from the movies isn't very friendly looking so I don't think it works that well as a avatar. so I usually pick some friendly looking art of it instead

I put the dancing emote from the SomethingAwful forums as my avatar back in 2005 as a stop gap measure, until I could find a really cool avatar. I never did and it kinda stuck!
The background was a result of searching the image dimensions on Google, one of the first results just happened to be Barney. Plus Barney is my favourite HL character.
I like Motörhead. They're my favourite band, Lemmy was and is an inspiration. My only tattoo so far is the Ace of Spades single cover art. I didn't have enough coins to make my oldpunch avatar fit so I just went with the background instead.

It's from a 'I'll draw a literal version of your username' thread that somebody made on here years ago. I think their name was like, Dr Fishhead or something like that? They drew a 'Jam Sponge Subway' and I really liked it, so I ended up adapting it into my own little character that sort of acts as my online 'persona'. I've only modified the design like once in the past 8 years, changing the coloured outlines to just be black to make it pop more
I couldn't think of anything (else) to put as my avatar so I used a sprite from some vaporware I'm making (eventually). It's Ninten.

The background is not a town from the game but it's meant to look like one.
Both took a bit of iterating and thinking to get right; his shirt's stripe color is the same as his skin and the tree in the background is the same color as the grass but the sand path makes it stand out.
I may change it when (if) I do something new/better.
