Wasn't the third movie intended to be the last?
Lol, the way that started made me think it was gonna turn dark. Like the happy music slowly fades out, the sky turns red, fucked up toys start appearing
It was but money talks
Ah shit, just checked on Wikipedia and apparently the original Bo Peep storyline has been scrapped and replaced by Fork Guy's Big Adventure Lasseter stated at D23 Expo 2015 that the film would focus on Woody's relationship with Bo Peep, and involved him and Buzz going on a journey to find her.[24] Hanks stated in May 2016 that he had finished recording his first lines for Woody.[3][25] At D23 Expo 2017, Lasseter announced he was stepping down and leaving Cooley as sole director, saying he could no longer commit to directing the film between his positions at Pixar, Walt Disney Animation Studios, and Disneytoon Studios.[26][27] Jones and McCormack withdrew from the film in November 2017, citing “philosophical differences”.[28] On January 18, 2018, it was announced that the film would be written by Stephany Folsom, who rewrote three quarters of Jones and McCormack's original script according to Potts in June 2018.[29][30] Woody has always been confident about his place in the world and that his priority is taking care of his kid, whether that’s Andy or Bonnie. But when Bonnie adds a reluctant new toy called “Forky” to her room, a road trip adventure alongside old and new friends will show Woody how big the world can be for a toy. If you're not aware, Bo Peep didn't appear in Toy Story 3 and there's a line that suggest something bad happened to her: https://i.imgur.com/xruwDKv.png Toy Story 4 was originally gonna be about what happened to Bo Peep and presumably rescuing her or something, sounded pretty interesting. RIP.
I don't think we need any more fucked up toys appearing.
Woody has always been confident about his place in the world and that his priority is taking care of his kid, whether that’s Andy or Bonnie. But when Bonnie adds a reluctant new toy called “Forky” to her room, a road trip adventure alongside old and new friends will show Woody how big the world can be for a toy. Directed by Josh Cooley (“Riley’s First Date?”) and produced by Jonas Rivera (“Inside Out,” “Up”) and Mark Nielsen (associate producer “Inside Out”), Disney•Pixar’s “Toy Story 4” ventures to U.S. theaters on June 21, 2019. Judging from the trailer, it sounds like this otherwise inanimate fork has been willed into sentience by Bonnie when she turned it into a toy. Horrifying.
Ohh, I didn't know this. That's a shame, would've been interesting and potentially dark to explore. Ah well. It's Pixar, I'm sure they'll make this amazing as usual anyway. Yet to fail me so far.
But who’s gonna voice Mr. Potato Head now that Don Rickles has died?
This reads like one of the short holiday specials they've been doing extended to film length after the script for the Bo Peep story fell through.
Nolan North
He loses his mouth for the entire movie.
Man, my first thought is "who the fuck is that fork and if the movie is about him why should I care"
I thought this was gonna be a netflix original about half way through. Becasue the red scrolling text that said NEXT
I do not like the fork.
This movie exists to sell merchandise.
sorry to be the one to tell you but basically every child focused piece of media exists to sell merch
"Forky, even though you're not an official 'toy', Bonnie MADE you a toy. It doesn't matter if you're from a company or made by hand, a toy is a toy!" "Now that you've seen the movie, go home and buy the OFFICIAL Forky Toy Story Toy! Only at Walmart."
The poster just got revealed: https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/205174/f701a3d3-102f-472d-b370-11a26d3d2157/image.png Oh God, it's Toy Story 3 part 2, isn't it? I'm not sure if I'm ready for this.
Given how Pixar/Disney do their writing, it's likely it wasn't working at all so they scrapped the idea.
Tom Hanks Confirms Toy Story 4 is Under Development I warned you I warned you all 7 years ago and you rated my thread "dumb" because you didn't want to believe it That said, it's funny how the comments in that thread are almost identical to this thread
Red Dead Redemption 3 (2024)
The idea actually sounds interesting given this universe's rules and raises so many questions. When does an ordinary inanimate object become the same as a toy? Do toys have to have humanlike traits to be alive?
There's been living non-anthropomorphic toys in Toy Story, like the Etch A Sketch. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZqXj3I55Jgg
Ah, right, I forgot about that. Still, it raises a lot of questions.
it does say old and new friends maybe they'll find bo peep at some point
but money
Cool, I need more stuff on my shelf https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/110384/8775d6fc-f705-4ebf-90f2-4dba102441b4/image.png
Lol, Disney, what are you doing? Come on, stop it now.
Here's a Key and Peele sketch that goes along with it I guess. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nQk7DWW4mz8
