i can roughly get the map to fit with the skybox but you can clearly see where the edge of the map is to the skybox. i want to get a dead on fluent transition at the edge of the map?
Put the sky camera in the zero coordinates, enable scaling texture lock, pick the edges of the map and transform to scale of 0.0625 in all dimensions. At least that's what I've done before.

Happened to me too on my recent map. Just gave up with the 3D skyboxes because they're a pain in the ass to align unless you don't give a shit about what the 3D skybox looks like. To be honest I forgot that you had to align the sky_camera in the center of the map so that's probably where I went wrong.
