Looks like Tyler is being confronted with the reality that this is Valve's new cash-cow and that they want to pull every last cent from the pocket of their players.
I fucking knew it. I knew the idea that the game was going to be cheaper to play than other TCG games was bullshit. The fucking heroes in the starter packs being useless in the current meta is totally intentional. And if they're willing to pull this shit right at launch, expect them to continue doing it. I mean, it's already confirmed they can permanently retire cards whenever they chose. And I expect it will always happen right before new cards are about to be released. Damn, I never thought I'd ever see Valve go outright pay-2-win, but I guess that was inevitable. Gabe Newell and his managers keep demanding more and more money. They have been completely consumed by greed. The Gabe who used to champion innovation is gone for good, and so is the Valve we used to love.
