Red Dead, God of War and Spider-Man up for everything they can be.
We all know what game will win
Website doesn't seem to be working for me.
It's heavily trafficated
You'd almost think Red Dead Redemption 2, Spider Man, God of War and Assassin's Creed were the only games released this year.
So tired of seeing the same AAA stuff that everyone and their dogs has already heard of on these lists.
Who made the website? Hangs whole browser and cpu goes 100% when loading an image
Should really introduce a new category called "best marketing" and banish all the AAA games there tbh.
The AA market is dry now, if not dead, and I would place blame squarely on a graphical fiedelity focus and the need to squeeze money out of marketing budgets. So that leaves the AAA market and the "indie" titles.
God of War isn't exactly the "same stale AAA franchise" though. It's not like they literally just made "God of War 3 but we made the number go one higher". It's a unique take on the franchise that could have probably been called something completely different but still tied to God of War and Kratos.
What games do you think should have been on the list that isn't?
I'm pretty divided between God of War and Red Dead Redemption 2, both are great games so i guess i'd be happy if either of those get the award.
While I get what your saying, Red Dead and Spider Man don't really fit that. The first Red Dead came out 8 years ago. Hardly a series that has been run to the ground. Spider Man is also fairly noteworthy for actually being good, despite most superhero games being mediocre.
Like mentioned, you should probably suggest what should have been in that list instead. It sounds like your just bitter about AAA games existing otherwise.
Its so cool seeing some amazing indie games up there. In the "Games for Impact" category, Florence is a really beautiful game, and I know the guy that directed it and he's super cool.
Its on mobile, its short, but I highly recommend it.
Why are so many Award-categories about Esports?
Composer of the year?
Best Horror?
Best of VR?
I still can't believe that there is such a big following for them. I don't know who any of these people are.
I agree but just a little correction, the first Red Dead came out 14 years ago. Redemption is the second game.
So yeah, damn! 3 games in 15 years, so tired of seeing this franchise so often!!
man doesnt know stuff about thing he is not interested in
more at 11
Eeh, cant really get excited for the awards when 80% of the games on the awards are the AAA and obviously popular games that would've made it into the awards anyways
Like why is CoD still in there? Everyone expects that and obviously its going to win at least one award if it werent for something more popular like Fortnite
Also Destiny 2 nominated as best ongoing game? Yeah I guess its good after you dump like $150 to Activision for the "best experience"
It'd be neat if they had a bit more variety in games and awards so the entire thing isnt so eye-rollingly obvious
I was surprised to see a section dedicated to mobile games though, and even more so that Donut County was in there
Oh, this isn't the /v/iyda games awards.
Honestly i have more respect for how they run that, then this awards show. Yeah they have sweeps, but at least they're genuine.
Hitman 2
I'm surprised to see Mega Man 11 in there at all
Man, this just reminds me how out of the loop I am with everything. Out of all the games across all the categories, I've only played DBFZ and Fortnite.
I've been wanting to buy a PS4 after I start a job. This just shows how much dominance the PS4 has when it comes to exclusives over the Switch and especially the Xbone
I just want to see hideo kiss geoff on the mouth and show off his hiking game
He meant that those games are pretty muchthe only original games this year, everything else is cawadooty tier factory products.
I voted Celeste in every category It was in because I haven't played any of the others :V
Oh right duh :downs:
Of all the Nominees I've played (Spiderman, Celeste and God of War) Celeste is the closest to a "perfect" game on that list.
Celeste baaaaaaaaabeeeeeeey!
Voted for Fortnite in every category it was available.
