this reminds me of that time fox news did that whole segment on poor people having refrigerators
Reminds me of "But he's wearing a TAN suit!!!!"
She's definitely presidential material if they're already slinging this low quality mud.
haha dudes name is seriously Eddie Scarry? https://twitter.com/eScarry/status/1063230377073041409 omg "ELEGANT even" lol
Has a pretty nice jacket = NOT FUCKING POOR. ????
I bet she likes Dijon mustard too... Elite scum.
holy shit he's getting annihilated in the comments of that one too what a piece of garbage.

What does this even mean What is he trying to even say Like is this some sort of implication that's she's suddenly secretly rich because she owns a nice jacket and coat? What's even noteworthy about that jacket and coat? What makes them so noticeably ostentatious? Has this man hear of thrift stores? Is he aware that there are periods of price reduction in retail clothing sale? Is he aware that people regularly purchase expensive clothing above their means for the sake of presentation when they are in dire financial straits?
He's trying to paint her as a rich fake liberal poser.
I thought we already knew she's not working class
It's impossible to tell from that hilariously meaningless photo but it literally just looks like standard professional women's attire.
So he's trying to play it off like he was actually complementing her? Even though he doubles down on the original tweet just a few tweets earlier? https://twitter.com/eScarry/status/1063190834848378881
Do you have her tax returns or something?
???
how strange that someone in politics may happen to invest in a nice outfit thats not handy for her line of work or anything
She could walk through the halls wearing a tattered jacket and they'd complain that distressed style is expensive and inappropriate for Congress.
This just seems like a short attempt at character assassination. There are much more important serious issues to focus on, and complaining about something like clothes only stoops down to their level anyways. Remember when they were bitching about Michelle's outfits? We're better than that, so let's focus on the real shit like openly expressing support for hangings/voter suppression.
This whole things reminds me of a comment I once heard, criticizing the musician Watksy for doing a song about being broke while wearing an expensive backpack. I went on a whole rant about how stupid that comment was because poor people, especially broke musicians, consider backpacks an investment. You carry your life in that thing, cant afford to buy a new laptop when it falls and breaks because of cheap straps, cant afford to buy a new backpack every year when it wears down... The same thing applies here, no? A poor person in politics is going to scrape and grind to get nice clothes so they can look presentable, right? If you wanna prove someone's not poor, find examples of them spending frivolously. This is just an example of someone investing in themselves and the fact that they were photographed in public wearing the jacket means it was a good investment.
dress for success..... ... okay NOT OPPRESSED
You can't just say this without showing the image. https://i.kinja-img.com/gawker-media/image/upload/s--Q3vxOP2E--/c_fill,f_auto,fl_progressive,g_center,h_675,q_80,w_1200/ekrllpotluyr7zshejul.jpg
No, there's a report on her assets though http://clerk.house.gov/public_disc/financial-pdfs/2018/10021221.pdf She has quite a bit of money saved up compared a working class person, who typically has little savings for emergencies to pay off the debt of going to a highly selective (33% acceptance rate) university. before then, she grew up in a suburban home where the father was an architect who owned a small business she's not a prole, sorry. like many outspoken socialists in history, she's middle class.
in what world?? why are we criticizing someone for having a small amount of money saved instead of being totally destitute, meanwhile her competition are probably millionaires.
this is like the prime example of upper class goons not wanting the poor to have a chance of uh, not being poor. Same with the fridge stuff.
Is anyone else completely lost at sea here? What is the significance of economic background here? Why is this such a major sticking point? Why does it have so much relevance to her being an 'outspoken socialist'?
This is really not a great look for you, unlike her snazzy jacket
why isn't there a :vomit: react
She just got a new job with a $174,000 salary. It's probably okay to spend a little on work clothes now. If she didn't get the job, she probably wouldn't have bought the jacket (if it is even expensive in the first place.)
The Coastal Elite liberals can't keep getting away with this!
