I never understood how modern day communist always cut away from the soviet implementation of communism as "not real communism", yet gladly buy and wear merch with totalitarian symbols on it. You might say "oh they are not a hivemind, some of them do one and others the other" but no, Ive seen some people do both.
They better not touch Soviet surplus accessories. I'm far from being a commie but if they fuck with my cheap slavshit I'm gonna cline Stalin and tell him they have food
because a lot of them probably dont really give a fuck about actual communism and just 'wow its a good idea in theory and the symbols look cool!' I used to think like that and thank fuck that I don't anymore
Of course they should stop selling it ...instead, give it away for the common good! If you need one, have one; if you need two, have two!
I've always seen it as a sort of warning to those that insist that capitalism is the only solution and the free market is the best version of any economy ever that there was an alternative and more of the world's population lived under it then capitalism for a time. We have a lot of problems in the west now seemingly because love of capitalism forces our political class to ignore them or even exacserbate them. Ya communism was bad, but we have the same unquestioning worship of capitalism that contributed to the death of communism.
A spectre is haunting Amazon — the spectre of communism. All the powers of old Europe have entered into a holy alliance to exorcise this spectre: like, twenty seven legislators.
