Washington (CNN) — President Donald Trump signaled Tuesday that he will not take strong action against Saudi Arabia or its Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for the death and dismemberment of Washington Post journalist Jamal Khashoggi.
Of course they won't. Trump's in charge, the good ol' bud of Saudi Arabia.
As far as I'm concerned, letting this slide would be little better than the weasels in charge outright having gone and "silenced" him themselves. Especially when you consider the well-known ties between the GOP leadership/their lobbyists and Saudi royalty.
They're accessories after the fact.
Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't just "after the fact".
if the U.S. wouldn't punish the Saudis for killing nearly 3,000 of our citizens why would the U.S. punish them for killing 1?
Of course a minor thing like murdering someone who worked for the FAKE NEWS! media won't be punished. They only way any sort of punishment will happen is if they call Trump "weak" or some other minor, childish insult. Also if they deny him the possibility of building hotels there.
...because this was actually done by the government of Saudi Arabia?
Not surprised. Seems we're still okay with them doing 9/11 too.
One more thing to throw onto the pile of House investigations -- whether the President was directly involved in the murder of a journalist critical of his business buttbuddy's regime.
Yeah but look at this list of dead people who were tangentially involved with the Clintons
Wonder if the response would have been different if it was a Fox journalist.
I can't wait for reports to have a field day with this statement tomorrow
Don't expect anything substantial. Both the Dems and Republicans benefit from this homicidal relationship, so they'll make sure all the news networks are silenced.
I'm glad Saudi Arabia decided to sever diplomatic and trade ties with Canada already. We can talk about this shit and literally what are they going to do about it? Bomb us? Send a hit squad after CBC newsanchors?
that last one is uncomfortably plausible and terrifying to think about
There it is. "He killed him but it doesn't matter."
That's a little bit conspiratorial and farfetched.
Just like that, another sovereign western nation is pussywhipped by Saudi Arabia and steps back in line.
I think, as an apology for the heinous accusations Trump should just let Overlord bin Salman drive around the streets of the Washington DC in a Devel Sixteen running down American citizens for kicks.
My post is proven false now since I've been seeing some major networks talk about it, but I'm still worried the entire government is in bed with Saudi Arabia considering the lack of anything being done related to them at all. Hopefully they're just super incompetent.
It's fitting Trump would pardon the presidential turkey right after pardoning Saudi Arabia for carving up a man like one.
Orson Welles met Hitler once. Hitler was later found dead with a gun-shot wound to the head.
COINCIDENCE?!
I've met a lot of people in my life and at least one of those people probably met someone who was related to someone who met Hitler.
I killed Hitler.
you know, degrees of separations is always interesting to talk about but at the same time it's kinda stupid to get hyped over what is basically just math exponents

What a fucking bitch.
Of course he won't. They violently murdered a journalist. I'm surprised he isn't giving them a medal.
Saudi Arabia is doing what Trump only wishes he could get away with, murdering journalists and members of the media who are critical of his position.
You should watch your back.
It'd really be a shame if we got into some kind of... self defense situation, you know?
In the grand scheme of things, compared to everything else they've done, him dying is just a symptom of why Saudi is shit, this is a speck. I really doubt they haven't already done this many times already.
Has the mainstream media given this much a shit whenever Saudi did anything else? Now all of a sudden everyone cares and its a big deal?
The fact that this is supposed to be the tipping point is fucked and it should have been done long ago. It genuinely feels like countries are only picking this up because it got media attention.
I'll at least give it to Donny Dump for at least not creating some feel good emotional speech about how its bad but changing nothing. At least the fact that the US is scummy is out there for everyone to look at.
