Does it work with the Windows 10 edition of Minecraft, or only the Java edition?
It's always been a Java server. The two versions are not comparable in any case.

did the server ever reset, or is this actually the same map as always? That'd be actually amazing
I've been led to believe the spawn was reset a few times and some chunks that have been untouched for years at a time may have been wiped, but for the most part, the map has been kept from the beginning.
