• Which setting is causing that? [Witcher 3/general graphics question]

So, I've been playing some witcher 3 recently and I've noticed there is an odd graphical glitch/pattern going on wherever something should be transparent: https://files.facepunch.com/forum/upload/109910/c06d4e11-28c5-4653-acca-c37e81bfe666/image.png (these repeating grid dots are a lot more visible when its at full resolution) This isnt all that gamebreaking since it only happens when there are trees in view, but its slightly annoying so Id like to find a way to have it fixed somehow. My PC can run the game at a decent framerate with mid-high settings, so if there is something that I need to crank up higher chances are it wont be a big deal. Anyone has an idea what might be causing it? First time Im seeing something like this in a video game tbh.
I don't think this is a bug. It's just how the game looks due to how the renderer handles transparency. Many modern games use deferred rendering which makes alpha blending problematic. So instead they use dithering, or screen-door transparency, to "fake" it. https://gamedev.stackexchange.com/questions/47844/why-are-some-games-using-some-dithering-pattern-instead-of-traditional-alpha-for
