I didn't know executions were allowed to be aired on UK's television.
Oh dear god, yes, please.
I'm not even sure how Corbyn's position differs from May's to be honest? They both support some kind of soft customs-union-maintaining Brexit. There needs to be representatives of the hard Brexit and cancel Brexit camps up there too imo, or else it's not that interesting
I wish we had some politicians with facial hair, congressional dress codes mandate clean shavenness.
I going feel, the 'mainstream' media will instantly portrayed him in very light negative to downright no matter without single positive support in Brexit deal debate, during and after it.
I hope this is a typo by the BBC
Referring to the respective party leaders' stances before the 2016 In-Out referendum, he said: "Corbyn was for Remain, Theresa May was for Remain. The 52% who voted Leave have goy to be represented in those debates."
Ugh no, this is just going to turn the whole debate into a personality contest which is basically how we got into this mess in the first place
https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2018/nov/26/labour-to-block-peoples-vote-taking-part-in-brexit-tv-debate-jeremy-corbyn
So basically no representation for the remainers?
This is why I ultimately don't like Corbyn, he's still pro-brexit for some insane reason.
This is fucked. There needs to be representation from people's vote.
Invite John Cleese to moderate. "On tonight's debate we have PM Tharesa May representing the mostly leave camp, and Labor Head Corbyn representing the mostly stay camp, A sack of rotting manjuer to represent the very leave camp, and a case of botulism to represent the absolutely leave camp."
Will the Nicola Sturgeon be invited to this or is Scotland just being further shafted?
Too little, too late.
Afterwards May becomes a "figure head" for brexit saying, "after that debate, it's become more clear to move forward with our separation from the EU"
What's a scotland
Labour's Brexit stance is illusive and rightfully so. This is a common chat on ukpolitics if anyone browses that shithole.
You're forgetting that a large chunk of the country still favours Brexit to remaining. Remain may now have a slim majority, but what about the rest of them? The Labour vote relies very heavily on Northern leave voting strongholds.
It would be all well and good coming out vocally in support of a second referendum only to be trounced in the possible general election after you've just alienated half your voter base and split your vote. For a second referendum to be successful, it must also be percieved as legitimate. Remain may now have a slim 54 majority, but Leave have not been campaigning like remain for a long ass time and if they do the focus will change to democracy. Those in favour of a 2nd referendum are 59-41 once 'don't knows' and abstainers are taken into account - and for remain to win, the intersection of remainers and those opposed to a second referendum must be close to zero - hence why legitimacy is so vitally important.
Labour's ambiguous stance might be frustrating to watch but it's completely naive to think they should have been beating the drum for all this time.
"We honoured the referendum, stated our criteria for an outcome we would support, when one wasn't forthcoming we requested a GE so that we could take the negotiations on, but you refused. Taking it to a referendum is the only remaining option."
Will it be aired like the Montly Python - like episode, but with more laugh tracks?
Please?
His stance also isn't insane, in that it doesn't make sense for him to be pro-brexit in theory. He is a socialist, and is quite against what is functionally a system facilitating free trade and maintaining a liberal hegemony. Unfortunately, as much as I'd be inclined to agree with him in principle, we need a true opposition party that stands up totally against Brexit. Not simply because we should remain or because its current condition is agreeable, but because Brexit itself is a farce, and an aberration against the democratic process we've been employing up to now. If the referendum was clearly slated to be legally binding and to be a deciding vote on policy, everything would be different. In retrospect however we know what happened. A right wing leader tried to ride the popular wave to get a debate he didn't want to have out of the public eye, and instead it backfired so hard he resigned, far-right leaders then rode the results of the referendum to push their agenda, and now everything is fucked.
tl;dr Corbyn please bite the bullet, be opposition, stop this shit, and bring back some stability to our lives rather than keeping us in Brexit limbo
May has accepted an offer from the BBC for a live debate on 9th November. Corbyn is arguing for a rival offer from ITV but, in a sign that I can only describe as foreboding, he'll probably have to buckle and accept May's deal because it's the best one available

Presumably you mean 9th December, unless enterprising Brexiteers have created a TARDIS, or something?
Nah mate 9th November 2019, will be a bit late by then but should be fun anyway
