I suspect that the underlying motive behind the Bundys' opinion may have something to do with farms and ranches and such typically needing seasonal labourers, and those positions traditionally get filled by unskilled migrants under the table.

BUT even if it's for the wrong reasons, he's right. This admin is a train wreck in action.

This man was also shot at by the government for illegally crossing established territorial boundaries and refusing to follow the established legal process.

The difference is, he shot back. Yet he's not detained, and thousands of those who crossed the border without even a hint of violence, including children, are being detained.

The difference is, he wanted to cross to graze cattle. The migrants fleeing from Central America largely want to cross to flee from immediate threats of violence against their families. If these Central American refugees are economic opportunists, what does that make Bundy, who wasn't remotely under threat and just wanted to be able to ignore property law for economic gain?

Bundy's a self-avowed sovereign citizen who formed a fucking armed militia to trespass illegally on federal territory and opened fire at federal and local law enforcement officers... because the Bundy ranchers weren't allowed to graze their cattle on a wildlife refuge. Bundy and his ilk are a significantly larger threat to American law enforcement and average Americans than the entirety of the dreaded ~migrant caravan~. Bundy shouldn't be in a position to even speak on this issue - he should be in jail, and the thousands of refugees who pose an infinitely smaller threat to the average American and the average LEO should not be.
