how to shatter newfound respect for the catholic church in one easy step
"Old celibate man thinks he know what he's talking about when it comes to sex and relationships."
Didn't he also said that the church will accept the gays and god loves them? Am I misremembering?
Gays can go to heaven and loving thy neighbor still comes before all but marriage is still iffy and other parts of the LGBT spectrum are still evil
I've seen things along the line of "oh hey, this pope seems p. cool", but never have I seen any "newfound respect" for the Catholic church lol. It'll always be the same, all in all.
thats what i meant, thinking the new pope was at least pretty decent
At the end of the day, he still is the pope and he represents the church. They have their own ideals and they will lag behind for a very long time.
Never forget, although he may seem cool from time to time, he still puts faith before fact and believes in something utterly crazy.
I mean that is kinda his job. To be the voice of god on earth is not exactly a position that allows for much deviation. The only reason he seems more moderate is because he's a Jesuit and they're smart motherfuckers. He knows he can't push the church too far or else he'll probably end up ~removed~ from his position.
So being gay is a fashion, unlike child molesting, which is a long honoured catholic tradition.
Nice click-bait title, "In our societies it even seems that homosexuality is fashionable and that mentality, in some way, also influences the life of the church," Just because something is seen to be fashionable, doesn't mean it's being done as a fashion statement
I honestly dunno how that's the case. The bible really never says shit about the L and I don't think they had a concept of T. Sucks for GB though, Brexit and all that.
I'm talking Catholic doctrine, not literal Biblical stuff. Francis still hates the T.
