This was always the best gun in WWII games back in the day
find you someone who looks at you like ian looks at that fg42
good news, it's back in fashion
It's not the FG42 but you can get STG 44 in a intermediate cartridge. https://www.hmgunworks.com/product/hmg-sturmgewehr-stg-n/ GSG STG-44 is just silly
A company called SMG has put FG42 repros on the market too. They’re not cheap, but Ian and Karl tested one in a match.
was pretty awesome in cod waw
He also mentions one in this video, something to the effect of "for about the price of one of these original FG-42 magazines you can get an excellent reproduction FG-42." I guess it was too much to hope for, but when he showed off the early model FG-42 yesterday I was hoping we'd get to see that thing firing, or at the very least shouldered because I have no idea how that grip even works.
A note with these, they should start shipping in about March or so, come with a variety of barrel options available, as well as the option for conversion kits to swap out calibers as desired, and can ship in the original 8mm Kurz. I'm probably going to pick one up after they start shipping.
the sound and muzzleflash on that thing goddammn and side mags make any gun instantly cooler
What's the caliber list? I'd love it if they make one based on the Soviet movie prop STG-44s http://www.imfdb.org/images/a/ae/StG44-M16-MovieProp.jpg These were STG-44s chambered in 7.62x39 (blank) made to resemble AR10/M16 rifles because STG-44s were more common in the 1980s Soviet Union than ARs.
They had a few of their prototypes at last year's NRA show. Chatted with them for like an hour, they seem really passionate about the work they're doing on the reproduction. I dunno if I'll end up getting one, but its a fun idea, especially with the ability to swap calibers
The calibers are 7.62x39mm, 5.56x45mm, .300 BLK, 7.92x33mm (8mm Kurz).
I don't recall it being in many.
It was in RTCW, that's all that matters
I'm sorry, that's not how "STG44" is spelled. fg42 is up there though.
Always was kind of a BAR guy myself, It was amazing to see one IRL. My brother loves the FG-42 though, and hell I can't blame him.
