The jury deliberated for several hours before convicting Fields, 21, of first degree murder, along with several counts of aggravated malicious wounding, malicious wounding and leaving the scene of an accident. Over the course of the trial prosecutor Nina-Alice Antony depicted Fields as an angry white nationalist who acted with hate and violence on Aug. 12, 2017 when he sped into unsuspecting counterdemonstrators after the Unite the Right rally was shut down by authorities. Antony reminded the jury of a meme Fields posted three months earlier on Instagram. That post showed flailing bodies — labeled "protesters" — being tossed into the air after a car plows into a crowd, the Associated Press reported. Trump has yet to weigh in on whether or not he intends to pardon.
I mean, both sides were at fault, so it's only fair he gets the same sentence as any counter-protesters.
Trump is one of the dumbest human beings on the planet, but even if he wanted to pardon this degenerate (Which is unlikely) his advisors would explain why it would be a very bad idea.
Hope the fucker rots for what he did.
I can't shake the feeling that the book still isn't being thrown hard enough.
He has yet to go to trial for hate crimes, and there is a very real possibility for him to receive the death penalty.
I don't care about the book being thrown at him as long as The Health Inspector gets him in the showers
It's doubtful, his closest advisers all agreed with Fields and his actions.
Rot in prison.
I mean hey, if Trump literally wants to pardon a nazi convicted of murder and multiple cases of aggrevated assault then it'll make it that much more satisfying when we watch him try to explain his rationale to a judge.
Why are people even talking about a pardon? Trumps not THAT crazy.
Perhaps. But I feel like he's too focused on Mueller right now to give a shit about a single white boy getting locked away for life.
Hm. Alt-right logic would dictate that a true prime specimen wouldn't have been convicted, he would've converted the normies to based redpilldom with his Aryan rays of anonymous memery and juvenile nihilism. Guess you're not part of the master race after all, champ. Or maybe it's because the rest of us actually do see you and your twisted kind for what you are and aren't impressed. News flash: actions have consequences in the real world.
I would think if Trump wanted to pardon he'd save it for someone who's a bit more influential. But this is Trump we're talking about.
Fields could be sentenced to life in prison for the state conviction. A sentencing hearing is expected to begin Monday. These charges are state charges. Trump cannot pardon them. Though these: Fields has separately been indicted on federal hate crime charges, which allow for the death penalty. he could be, if convicted.
