2018 Christmas Sprint

Welp, just like last year I've decided I wanted to do another Christmas event. This one comes with a two pretty big differences from any previous driving events I've seen on here so hopefully you all enjoy it!

THE EVENT:

This event is going to take place in a slightly different setting than most previous events. The map is going to be a downhill sprint on a new night time map - REAL night time, not like those boring "night" maps bright enough to see clearly for miles. This means you're going to need to use headlights - wire lamps are perfect for this and should not impose FPS problems as long as you don't spam 50 of them around your vehicle.

Here's the other twist: Along the route, a random assortment of glowing presents will be scattered along the road. Pick these up by driving into them and have one second taken off your time! You'll have to be careful as they are most likely not going to be on the racing line very often.

Date: The weekend of December 22nd

Time: To be determined, but likely around 9-10AM (EST)

Server Name & IP: Will be posted when it's set up

Prop Limit: 400

Map: gm_akina

Hosts: Cheezus and probably other people that I haven't determined yet

Film crew: To be determined, whoever wants to I guess? Just be competent at recording stuff & taking pictures.

THE RULES:

1) No downforce, fin, or anything E2s/Starfalls/Gates the sort that would alter the performance of your vehicle in mysterious ways
2) Use an engine that suits your vehicle - keep it somewhat realistic!
3) Only one engine per vehicle
4) Engines are prop engines ARE allowed but they will be kept in a class of their own
5) Do not spawn things as other people are racing. This is how you kill their FPS, or potentially the server, and ruin their run
6) Don't take shortcuts, as usual
7) Your vehicle must be FINISHED - Don't holo a TDM car onto your chassis with 4 wheels and call it finished, that doesn't count
7.1) Vehicle models from stock source games are allowed but please do add something onto them to make it unique
8) You may only enter ONE vehicle
9) Make your vehicle look festive in some way! Get creative!
