John Dean, a key figure in the Watergate scandal, says allegations made against President Trump released Friday are evidence enough for Congress to begin impeachment
proceedings.
Dean's comments were made in an appearance on CNN's "Erin Burnett OutFront" shortly after the memo in a case involving Trump's former longtime attorney Michael Cohen was
released by federal prosecutors in New York.
One of the most shocking revelations in the filing — which recommends prison time for Cohen, despite his cooperation with federal prosecutors and special counsel Robert Mueller's
investigation — is Cohen's claim that he was instructed by Trump to approve payments that violated campaign finance law. Asked by Burnett about those illegal payments, Dean said
Friday that Cohen "implicated Trump directly,” and it could lead to impeachment proceedings.
“I don’t know that this will forever disappear into some dark hole of unprosecutable presidents,” Dean, Nixon’s former White House counsel said. “I think it will resurface in the
Congress. I think what this totality of today’s filings show that the House is going to have little choice the way this is going other than to start impeachment proceedings.”
Following the filing Friday, however, White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders claimed it revealed "nothing of value that wasn't already known."
“The government’s filings in Mr. Cohen’s case tell us nothing of value that wasn’t already known," Sanders wrote. "Mr. Cohen has repeatedly lied and as the prosecution has pointed out
to the court, Mr. Cohen is no hero.”
They fucking better.
It's time to bring out a SPECIAL EDITION smurfy, only to be used when the word 'impeachment' is at play:

Except the GOP have built up the insurance for this situation in the form of Fox News and its heavy right-wing media influence.
The senate is still in GOP hands and they'll not vote for impeachment no matter what.
The way this investigation is going, they'll soon have two choices. To throw Trump under the bus and risk being caught up in criminal charges depending on their involvement, or risk causing violent insurrection and being torn apart by a mob.
Okay but what mob
Waaay too much of the population is either fine, apathetic, or too busy to pay attention to this kind of stuff going on. Who's going to be in that mob to tear them apart?
You don't need the majority to be ready to spill blood to unseat a tyrant. Just enough. Right now all those people who are hard enough and cold enough to take action are waiting to see if elected officials will do their duty and hold the criminal in the white House accountable. If they refuse to, and place Trump above the law, some will see that as time to act. And whether successful or not, things will get ugly. It's in the best interests of the entire country that the GOP impeach Trump. Certainly in the best interests of themselves and their families.
Which the Senate then overruled, like I had said in my previous post would happen with Trump.
I'm saying it's bound to happen, not that it necessarily should. Naturally.
christ you're melodramatic. how does any of this irreverent wannabe revolutionary bullshit actually translate into the mechanisms and powers of the House, the Senate, the Supreme Court? this just isn't how the fucking government works. just take a look at the shit you're talking about for me:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Impeachment_process_against_Richard_Nixon
in fact, just look at how long this article is. look at how many tiny details and intricate legal processes and inter-house communications were involved. this shit wasn't about "impeach or everyone dies", it never has been, no more than any other legal action.
GOP has already proven that they'll look the other way. The bigotry, the nepotism, the blatant emoluments violations, total submission to Russia and Saudi Arabia, adultery, bragging about sexual assault, paying hush money, destabilizing the west, anti-climate change, every inner circle being rounded up in legal trouble
And they still defend him
They're not going to do shit

When is it gonna be christmas?!
GOP Senators will never vote to remove a Republican from office, not matter what.
A lot are up for reelection in 2020, and they'll be dragged down with Trump.
Good, but Trump will fall in 2020 elections. So it's not like he'll be impeached and removed by that point, unless Dems along with defeated GOP decide to give a middle finger and remove him in his final weeks of his term. I guess Pence will finally be a president.
What kill him? Mueller's report will be ironclad and only mentally ill Trumpsters will deny it. (Of which there are several in the Senate)
Everytime I hear Individual 1 I hear the voice of the City 17 announcer saying Individual.
"Individual, you are charged with treason against the United States."
