Thats actually a pretty good letter from the Superintendent. It communicated exactly what the issue was and what the reality was, while not trying to blame any party for the misunderstanding. Good for them.

Shit's kind of fucked when something as innocuous as the smash logo makes you think a mass murderer is coming to kill everyone.
I mean I guess I can vaguely see it? The version with the circle outline around it kinda looks like a weirdly proportioned cross-hair.
Still, shows how much of a strained climate we have in regards to this that even something like this can be seen as potentially leading to the next school shooting.
If only we could settle issues like this in Smash. Just do all politics in Smash. Presidency is determined by who wins a 5 stock no items FD match.
It does look like a crosshair if the person drawing it had the dexterity of a drunk koala, so the misunderstanding is very much understandable.
