When the evacuation order was lifted last week and Gaylord went back to the property — which had been decimated by the fire — her prayers were answered: Madison was there, seemingly protecting what little remained of his family’s home.
“WELL, I’m so HAPPY to report that Andrea was allowed to return to her property today and THERE MADISON WAS!!!! He had stayed to protect what was left of his home, and NEVER gave up on his people!” Sullivan wrote in the comment on her Facebook post, which was shared 12,000 times as of Saturday evening.
We don't deserves dogs, man.
Among the best of boys.
It might be the perspective, but that looks more like a small bear than a dog.
What is it with sad dog stories this week?
Between this and George Bush's dog we probably owe whomever holds the copyright on that one song Futurama used in that one episode about the dog a few hundred thousand in royalties.
We don't deserve them
this is a happy dog story
In the end for sure... but its still heart-wrenching the idea a doggo would wait at the burnt out wreck of its home for it's master to come back.
Less sad then a dog waiting at their owner's grave waiting for them to come back. THAT'S heart wrenching.
I forgot that "Gaylord" was a legitimate last name.
Ah yes, another addition to my list of reasons why I would sacrifice all of mankind to protect one good boi.
Man kind and Good boys are symbiotic. The more people there are the more Good boys there can be. If all humans died, Good boys would quickly drop in numbers and would eventually turn into some Mean boys.
On the other hand, the more people there are more bad people who mistreat and abuse the good boys, making them into mean boys.
If all humans were gone, there would be no good or mean boys.
I now know my purpose in life.
Why was the dog left there? The article is paywalled.
Owner wasn't home when the fires came through
what
Think it's just the thread pic makes him look like an absolute unit. He's a lot thinner in the other photos.
