Hopefully Trump is going to have a real hard time finding any new allies from here on out. Those who have stuck with him for this long are either implicated and have no choice, or are too corrupt to care, but at the very least maybe potential new hires will think twice about coming to the defense of a career criminal like Trump.
Apparently Chris Christie was actually liked in New Jersey until the bridge scandal and other things. What the fuck New Jersey
Instantly reminded me of this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AS-gIJnQbyM
to be fair, a lot of people depended on that bridge.
sounds like someone should have picked him for the AG
Hey, we only got stuck with this guy in the first place after our previous governor came out as gay and had to resign because that was still during the days where America largely saw homosexuality "ewwww he's gay and if we don't burn him at the stake he'll infect us with lubricated thong cooties, Billy push him into the dirt!"
The campaign finance charge is something of a red herring. It's not enough by itself to get the public on your side. I hope to god prosecutors wait for Mueller to make his report.
What did he even do other than side with Obama on the hurricane Sandy stuff.
Didn't Christie shut down a beach to the public, and then went ahead and used it as his own private vacation spot with his family?
yup, literal definition of a fat cat: https://cdn.abcotvs.com/dip/images/2177599_070317-wpvi-ap-christie-split-img-NOT-CLONEABLE.jpg?w=630
No that happened quite a while ago, he resigned because of a corruption scandal, the gay thing was just something that got uncovered on the side. The guy who came after him was actually the most well liked Governor New Jersey's had in decades (although he had no intention of being governor any longer than was necessary). The governor before Christie was Jon Corzine, another slimy politician from NYC who was massively unpopular and ended up losing reelection to Christie. He was definitely not gay, though.
Huh, for some reason I thought it went from McGreevey to Christie. Memory must be foggy.
That bridge scandal caused a lot of people to lose their jobs as they were late for work, or were unpaid or penalised. And all because Christie had a hissy fit against city mayor for refusing to support him. It's was a abuse of power in attempt to punish his political opponent and many people suffered for it. It was a big deal.
my favorite part of that shit was that he was like a month from leaving office, and when the press asked his press secretary if they thought it was fair, they straight up said "no, not really"
I've never seen someone with literal chicken legs before.
Anyway the impression I got when I saw this was "Guy saying something you already know wants to make sure you know that he knows it too."
He mostly was just ignored, you didn't hear too much about him. He only kept winning because the Dems here never ran anyone worth a shit that wasn't literally maid of dirt and money and because this state has a shit ton of old people and wannabe rednecks who were the only people motivated to vote for governor since NJ has one of the US's most apathetic populations thanks to the dirty politics.
