The video is factually incorrect about 3 minutes in. The batteries can, in fact, be charged and discharged simultaneously. The problem is they charge so slowly it looks like they're not at all. But with careful study of the charge time while it's under load, you will notice the timer stalls every so often. This is the battery receiving power while under load, and this misunderstanding is a direct consequence of the obtuse unit inconsistencies between power generation and storage. No battery in the game will ever charge fast enough to have its time rise while under load, no matter what your setup.
In my opinion its an overcomplicated addition to the game where you have to find then research then make 15 additional components just so you can have your lights and doors (in vanilla) work,
Who really wants to go into logic switches, serial and parrallel circuits and the ratio between charging time and battery life ? FFS its a bloody game
not a first year course in electrical circuits !
