Just what we needed, when the whole thing was going to die and other options open up she just snatches that away from us so she can butter up the MPs and try to get this toilet roll of hers passed on another date. Ugh.
Please be a resignation. Or even better an election call combined with a second vote.
Not sure why you'd want to extend your career as Prime Minister in such a turbulent time, Theresa. Wasn't she ranked as the worst Prime Minister back when she was talking about fields of wheat and the 'dementia tax'? I'd run for the hills if I was her.
The Brexit vote delay now joins the 2017 election on the list of things that are definitely 100% not going to happen under any circumstances

Ladies and gentlemen, a genuine possible contender for next Conservative Party leader.
British politics atm is like a politics based sitcom where all the jokes are genuinely terrible but there's no laugh track and it's actually happening in real life and oh god it actually worked oh god oh shit we're going to be poor
Here's the interesting thing.
Lots of people saying a vote has to be called to cancel this vote since its a change to commons policy, and a lot of conservatives are already saying they'll vote against it. Assuming the opposition does its job (which is a big ask for us), they may well fail to get the vote cancelled.
Imagine that. Not only can they not win a vote, they cant even fucking cancel one.
It's just like The Thick of It except real and quite terrifying.
Remember Strong and Stable? What a joke.
Holy fuck lol she might not even be able to cancel it

They can't pull the trigger and they can't put the gun away.
I hope the can't call off the vote. The way Theresa May has abused democracy for her own needs is disgusting. A government can't just call elections when it thinks it'll win (general election 2.0) and call off votes when it thinks it'll lose.
I never thought I'd find myself defending Theresa May but...
FYI: The government has been able to call elections whenever it wants since 2011, as long as it had 2/3rd majority vote in the Commons. Only 13 MPs voted against it in 2017, so there was plenty of room for Labour (and LibDems/Greens/etc) to try and strike down general election 2.0. But they didn't, probably because they also thought they'd win. Calling off votes, however, would be absolute bullshit.
Happening status is rising, Tory MPs now starting to come out publicly to say they will block a delay

Delaying the vote is showing such contempt for Parliament even without giving the circumstances, which are that no changes to the Deal are possible and we're running dangerously low on time. I think even if the PM declines to allow a vote, Parliament will take action of some kind without her approval to vote against whatever it is she is doing. People have been predicting a furthering of the constitutional crisis for weeks and here it comes; Parliament may be about to condemn the Government. Which is amazing considering the Conservatives have an almost majority.
I guess that's why I can't criticise Theresa May for choosing to do so; it's not new. Though there was always the loophole that if she didn't get the 2/3rd majority, she could've just altered statute with the majority left behind by Cameron, which would be a tad more scummy. So it's not exactly like there's vice-grip limits on calling elections now. It just so happens that she accidentally shot herself in the foot.
I thought that it was incredibly irreponsible to call an election after triggering Article 50, but with the ECJ's ruling that A50 is revocable it's now less of an issue
I would've preferred if she had done it the second she became leader, because although in the UK we vote for a party (...sort of) and not the leader themselves, I found it weird how May could just slide in and have a fresh majority in government ready and waiting for her. Nonetheless, we would've been in the same situation if Cameron had stuck to his word and triggered Article 50 ASAP, because then May wouldn't have even had that window of time.
If all else fails...

Looks like May's race to renegotiate the backstop has begun with her racer collapsing dead at the starting line.

With recent news in consideration, I feel all politicians should add "Or we could just fuckin' stay, that's an option too I guess" to any "It's the only option" statement.
ok this is just getting entirely too silly, please go back to putting things ontop of other things instead, that was less silly.
Ah, the sunk costs fallacy. "We've spent so much time and effort on this, we can't stop now"
Consider the costs of continuing you twats.
I'm sure Varadkar would be thrilled if Brexit were stopped, he's saying it's time to choose and this is the only deal on offer
Am i misinterpreting that or are they now saying we have to leave and we can't just decide to stay?
Varadkar is saying that if we want to leave the EU with a deal, this is the only deal available. We can still leave with no deal or remain in the EU instead, both of which are decisions that we have the sole power to make
Vote's off. Jesus Christ.
This is such a fucking farce.
How the fuck do we stand a chance on the world stage alone when our own damn Parliament, hell, our Government, HELL, OUR CABINET can't agree on one thing.
Simple. You don't.
