This flashes quickly for some reason.

theyre HL1/2/expac codes. theyve already been taken though,
Quite telling that Gaben refused to participate in this documentary. As though Half-Life and its entire legacy is shameful to him or something.
(Really, though, it's because radio silence has been official company policy ever since Valve went to the dark side. Better to not say a single word then to say anything and it be made plainly obvious that you don't actually give a damn about your fans, or anything else other than money. That's the key thing - and the only thing at this point - that separates them from the likes of EA: they've learned that gamers are smart enough to see through blatant PR doublespeak. So they remain as quiet as possible, only speaking out when something threatens one of their money hats - like Dota 2 or Steam as a whole.)
@28:39
did they seriously imply Blood was a fucking Doom clone?
Not even going to bother watching this after that is basically a paid for and undisclosed advertisement for F76 was released by them to help drum up hype.
And then there was the FMV documentary.
Great to hear Pitchford's perspective on Condition Zero
That Black Mesa conversation turned into something deeper than I thought
Randy's info about CZ is interesting but the way he talked about "noticing half-life" and the genius of it before it was huge screams of ego stroking.
Man I didn't want to be sad and nostalgic today
At least I'll end up forgetting about this whole thing for maybe another half year or so
Well you gonna expect from small mod team to making ambitious mod project based on Mainstream video game with using their engine.
I find it hilarious how Randy is still apparently pissed at Valve for not telling their team they were leading them on to save them time to get the Half Life ip back, when you know the absolute bullshit he pulled with Colonial Marines. Absolute hypocrite.
yes
Huh. I was looking for a WON Opposing Force key.
this might sound weird but bodoop pssst is my favorite sound from half life health
yeah afaik this is the main reason why they came up with Steam, they wanted to have full control over their shit
I personally agree with the last chick. I don't really need or want another Half Life anymore. It's been far too long since EP 2 and I think expectations grew so high that anything that would ever be released would not meet them.
Grow up.

Except it was.
O'Dwyer completely glossed over the people that started the company getting fired after Zenimax took over. O'Dwyer completely glossed over the staff who don't really give a shit about fallout.
It'd honestly be better if they just went with spinoffs, do an expanded universe type deal and just make games in different genres and such using the same universe.
Then again I just enjoy that concept, like how Grand Theft Auto, Bully, and Manhunt are all radically different games, but yet in the same universe.
I am open to those ideas. I just don't think I could do another Half Life in its traditional sense.
If I had the talent I would have made my own Half-Life at this point. And it would not be a shit pile like HDtFM.
Let's be real. HDtFM was just heavily scripted gmod
On the day of Doom's 25 year anniversary too, yikes.
