This is just a more adult and rich version of a teen going 'fuck the cops' after being pulled over for speeding or something
Yeah well they clearly don't give a shit because they slapped your ass.
the ultimate form of the sovereign citizen
Dont give a shit about your employees either
that was a hard interview to watch actually. He denies that tesla has any safety problems, blames a UAW conspiracy to unionize his plant, and glossed over a lot of the problems tesla has had with the typical tech company boilerplate.
Elon only has respect for the S U C C
UWA conspiracy? Bitch, Tesla practices all of the same Union busting procedures that other big companies like Amazon and Walmart. If anyone has a conspiracy its you and the other big tech companies that seem to have an almost damaging antisocial stance on human labor and personal liberty.
There's no real reason to doubt his abusive childhood. His dad was a known POS who had a child with his step daughter, and the family (Elon, Kimball, Tosca, Maye) don't like to talk about him. We don't know a ton about his childhood and they were probably wealthy and there was the whole thing about the emerald mines, but Elon was just a kid and born into it. He did need to get nose surgery a few years back from the alleged beatings he had received from peers as a child. And he credits his love of reading from it being an escape from life. So it's likely he did get the shit beat out of him.
he only briefly touches this but in the context it comes right after just outright lying about UAW and tesla's safety issues, which the interviewer cited the statistics for so that makes me at least a little suspicious.
I can't watch the video because WaPo is paywalled. It somewhere else? What did he like about?
His childhood issues have been publicly known for a long time, well before Tesla came out with the roadster. The editing on the interview seems to try and push a certain narrative, and what's with it being so zoomed in on his face? Tesla was investigated by CA OSHA for reports of under reporting injuries, and they found that they wasn't under reporting.
If you open WaPo in InCognito mode, you can access it for free.
The "overtime" interview seems to have all the positive bits: https://youtu.be/BIXkZk7tSZQ
