The conservative writer and conspiracy theorist Jerome Corsi filed a lawsuit on Sunday accusing special counsel Robert Mueller of blackmailing him to lie about President Donald
Trump in the investigation of Russian interference in the 2016 election.
The suit, which seeks $350 million in actual and punitive damages in U.S. District Court in Washington, was filed six days after Corsi entered a formal complaint with the Justice
Department alleging prosecutorial misconduct by Mueller.
Corsi, 72, the former Washington bureau chief of the conspiracy website InfoWars, accuses Mueller's office of having illegally leaked secret information from the grand jury
investigating Russian election interference.
The suit also accuses the special counsel's office of having threatened him with prison unless he agreed to testify falsely that he served as a liaison between WikiLeaks founder Julian
Assange and the Republican political strategist Roger Stone, who was an adviser to Trump's presidential campaign.
And it accuses the FBI, the CIA and the National Security Agency — all of whom are named as co-respondents — of having placed Corsi under illegal surveillance "at the direction of
Mueller and his partisan Democrat, leftist, and ethically and legally conflicted prosecutorial staff."
The goal, the suit alleges, was to bring about a "'legal coup d'etat,' negating the will of the American voters who elected Donald J. Trump on November 6, 2016." The suit repeats Corsi's
contention that he never had any direct knowledge of WikiLeaks' plans, arguing that he simply deduced the coming email dump using his talents as a journalist.
"conservative writer and conspiracy theorist"
yep...
"Washington bureau chief of the conspiracy website InfoWars"
how is this a real sentence
It’s like one of those earthworms that flips out if you touch it.
And true to his title, this sounds like another conspiracy theory. What a waste of everyone’s time.

Investigate this man's phone records to see if Trump or anyone acting on his behalf offered Jowly Jerome here a pardon.
So, is he claiming that Mueller blackmailed him into lying that he lied to Congress and lied about the Wikileaks and Stone business? So does that mean he's renouncing his confessions of lying to Congress and confessing to Wikileaks/Stone?
I guess he wants to have additional obstruction charges thrown on top while he's betting the house on not going to the big house.
I guess his balls finally dropped, too bad he's too much of an idiot to think without them
unironically check into a funny farm, and don't come out, traitor.
He does realize when he loses the suit he'll be made to pay all their legal fees, right? I can hardly wait.
Hes probably banking on people believing the bullshit hes selling, especially if Trump backs him on it.
Unfortunately for him, most western countries have a criminal charge related to lawsuits and police reports based on a lie - it's called Criminal Mischief up here in Canada, and can result in jail time.
I think the funniest thing about this is how, if it were true, it would be pretty easy to prove. Blackmail requires that the target be told about it - and in the modern era, almost all communications leave some trace, if not a direct record. Same with leaking - prove that the info came straight from Mueller, and the case is won. And like hell the FBI would perform a wiretap without a literal mile of paper trail, which can be subpoena'd (and if you're going to argue the FBI could lie to courts... why bother with a lawsuit then?).
But of course, I don't expect him to have any such proof. I'll honestly be surprised if he managed to make a series of claims (regardless of support) that add up to a real case. People that deep into conspiracy culture don't remember how actual logic works. And so the judge, seeing no evidence in a case that should have troves of it, will likely be quick to dismiss.
I highly suspect this will backfire on him, horrendously. Like, he'll subpoena for any wiretaps on him... and then Mueller will bust out the wiretap, the warrant for it, the probable cause used to obtain the warrant, and maybe some of the juicier transcripts obtained by wiretap, thus affirmatively proving in public record that the Special Counsel investigation is proceeding legally and justifiably.
Perhaps it's just a ploy to buy time. Force Mueller to spend a few weeks defending a frivolous lawsuit, in the hope that other conditions will become more favorable. I don't see that happening, though - conditions seem like they'll only get worse for the traitors.
Only if they counter sue them over that.
if you bracket some of the words with apostrophes it makes sense.
Washington 'bureau' chief
"illegal surveillance"
It's called a warrant you shaven-scrotum muppet-looking motherfucker. YOU don't have to give permission for those.
I've always admired people who can swear creatively.
