hey, after a long break, i wanted to play some rust that i was running on 80fps, now its max 50...
my PC specs are :
nvidia geforce 1050
16gb ram
i3-3240
There was a patch over the summer that found its way into a Windows update that fixed some security issues with Intel processors. Some users are seeing small to marginal drops in performance. Not likely 30fps though. To be quite honest with you, the resolution of your monitor is going to matter a great deal. If you are playing on a 1080p or lower resolution monitor, you will definitely be asking a lot out of that I3. The higher resolution monitor, the more your GPU carries the load. High GPU usage is preferable to high CPU usage, because high CPU usage often times results in dropped frames, and stuttering.
To get an accurate account of what's happening with your computer, I would advise downloading a software called "MSI Afterburner", which will benchmark the speeds, usage, and hardware performance of your computer. You can run it in the background while you play Rust for say (30 minutes), exit out , and full screen the graphs. If you are seeing 100% CPU usage, you'd know you are being bottlenecked by the CPU. If you are seeing 100% GPU usage, and lower CPU usage, you'd know upgrading the video card would likely be a better option. If you're serious about upgrading the computer, I'd recommend the afterburner method, and perhaps post the graph on the forum for other users to help you, as I likely wont see it.
Minimum:
Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
OS: Windows 7 64bit
Processor: Intel Core i7-3770 / AMD FX-9590 or better
Memory: 8 GB RAM
Graphics: GTX 670 2GB / AMD R9 280 better
DirectX: Version 11
Network: Broadband Internet connection
Storage: 20 GB available space
Get a better CPU.
ye my CPU is running on like 80% when im playing.. but im not sure bout my ram cuz that one is on 80-90% usage aswell
I personally would look at upgrading the entire pc, I mean what MOBO are you using? Whats the highest supporting CPU you can use, do you have the Power supply that can maintain it?
What Ram do you have and what speed?
There are many variable that cause a funnel effect on your gaming performance.
Ram is fine, I got 12 GB and got no problem with FPS but I got RX 470 and I7-2600k.

Faster SSD is good only to load into the game. On SSD it takes like 2 minutes for me to load in at first start.
