Okay so i used to be into creating gmod gamemods a few years back when i was younger, and well now im back, i want to do it to fill my time and advance my skills, and to be honest i have forgot most of what i learned i think, but it could come back to me, im just wondering, if you guys could give me a list of everything you guys used/use to help you while programming.
would be much appreciated
sincerely,
Me
Check out HolyWireMod and Code Blue on youtube, they helped me get started and I'm still fairly new, and learning, but it gives me a kickstart to begin, and I use these forums a lot if I get stuck on something. Hope they help!
I've never used tutorials. Just the Garry's Mod Wiki and digging through addons other people have made. You just have to find what works for you.
Normally I'd agree with Doctor Jew, but if the code is too complex for you to understand at first or you need a guide (and not a video tutorial) you can find a lot of tutorials on the sticky.
In my personal opinion, I normally prefer written tutorials to video tutorials, as you can read them at whatever pace you want, and if you don't understand it well you can read it again, or jump directly to the part you want to in case you already knew something that's on it.
But, for each their own.
