Can someone make an unofficial fix for the broken scrolling on macos?

Hi, I tried to post about this issue on github, and it looks like its been ignored for years and all issues posted on it just get closed. So I assume it will never get fixed..

So could someone make an unofficial patch for it? we can't scroll in-game on macos properly at all, the physgun is unuseable and many menus are very hard to navigate due to this broken scrolling... it works fine on other source engine games
It's very clear that the official gmod devs are just going to ignore this forever :/ can someone help pls????
