even if there is no spy equipment the chinese government is massively involved in their day to day operation.
China https://puu.sh/CifFt.png Devour all
Trusting Huawei to build infrastructure is a huge mistake.
You can't be a Chinese Citizen and not be involved in with the government anyway, all they have to do is say "well legally we can't ask you to share information but, darn, it would be a shame if something happened to your social credit score..."
What's with Germany and it's love for being compromised by Russia and China?
I own a Huawei P20 Pro and even I think that's not a good idea.
Germany's technology watchdog says it cannot find any evidence Huawei is a security risk. Yeah nevermind that Chinese companies often take direction from the communist party, or that Huawei has a history of incidents or accusations of espionage by governments other than the US, or that breaches can happen at any moment via a compromised supply chain even allegedly without the vendors knowledge, or that people or companies that refuse to do the government's bidding just end up disappearing for dubious charges, it's not like that's ever happened right guys? I can't even... This is just supremely retarded.
China and Chinese companies building anything at all in your country should be a big fucking no, even if allegations of espionage through the companies were baseless. Look up the Chinese Road and Belt policy, they're essentially trying to get themselves a monopoly on large parts of the world's infrastructure to force influence.
I really want to keep believing in my country but it's getting tougher and tougher. I had patience to see the CDU/CSU led government phase out but now it can't come any faster. Unless it's the AfD, I'd rather die than let those alt-right thieves destroy our future for their short term profits.
If you can't trust the US building it. Which you can't. Then you DEFINITELY can't trust China.
I remember that we were interviewing a guy who worked with Cisco in my Cisco networking class about cybersecurity. He told us about how a Chinese networking company sold servers to the US fucking Government and I was just oh so surprised to hear that fucking Chinese nationalists sneaked spying chips onto the equipment. How are fucking first world governments this brain numbing retarded?
Kind of seems to me that German authorities are in on it and want the new data tapping capabilities
China is going to slowly take over the world, and with no term limits, Xi has all the time in the world.
Germany hasn't had a spine since losing both world wars, can you really blame them?
Europe need their own Shenzhen and tech presence as well as to show more backbone against China and Russia. It feels like a lot of European powers are just complacent and feel like the status quo will be maintained when they do stuff like this.
China seeks to reclaim what it believes its rightful place in the world after the western powers essentially destroyed it. It's a shame modern day western governments are too short-sighted or too greedy to see this.
