Hello these are my rust specs and ive watched countless of guides and threads on how to get better fps and i get 30-50 at best usually when playing Vanilla 300 Pop.
I can run games like Doom and Battlefiled 1 fine on medium high settings with smooth frames.
Hi,
First of all, seeing as it's a laptop - make sure Rust is running on the correct graphics card.
Sometimes laptops will wrongly make games run on the Intel Integrated graphics processor instead of the dedicated one (in your case a GTX 1060)
If this is indeed your problem, you could try this fix:
Open Nvidia Control Panel (you can find it by right-clicking on your desktop)
Go to Manage 3D Settings / Program Settings tab
Choose Rust from the programs list, or use the Add function to add it if it's not listed
Once Rust is selected, verify that "2. Select the preferred graphics processor for this program:" is set to "High Performance NVIDIA processor"
Apply the settings
If 2. was already set to use the NVIDIA processor, the problem lies elsewhere - But it's a good place to start.
Your amount of RAM may also be limiting your gameplay. I upgraded from 8gb to 16gb and noticed a huge difference in terms of frame drops and loading times
Both of these i have tried and seen no improvment what so ever its really wierd what ever settings i play on from Beautiful-Potato i get same frames?
So i have no clue what the issue is.
Then you might simply need more RAM!
There's been several reports of people running into RAM issues lately.
Alright Ill see what i can do to add RAM still new to PC just moved from PS4 i do think my laptop is upgradable but will be losing my warrant once i remove the sticker holding all the "specs"
