TLDR the same polar vortex fuckin shit that caused the "beast from the east" and a coldass winter last year looks like it's gonna happen again, the American forecast model predicts it will happen this month while the European model says January. And climate change is only just getting started so basically this is your life now!!!!!

The Beast from the East happened in February, right? Im hoping it doesn't hit around the same time, I'd be trying to fly half way across the world during then. Always seems like freak weather tries to keep me bounded here.

Thankfully, us Texans will experience little-to-no change at all, as the projection provided seems to indicate a normal winter. Good luck to our neighbors up north, though, as it seems as if it's going to get warm.

That map is temperature anomaly. You should note that the regions in Texas will be between 0.1-0.2 degrees colder than average during the given period, while places in Canada are going to be 0.1-2.0 degrees warmer than average during the given period. It doesn't necessarily mean it will be colder in Texas than in Canada. (though that can happen) Of course, it's an average so places in Texas might be incredibly cold while places in Canada are incredible warm, but in the end it all averages out to what you see on the map.
Our town has a single, solitary snow plow. Took at least 2 weeks to clear all the roads out here, and that's considering that about 3-4 days after it happened they sent plows down from Colorado to help with the effort.
