The Russian operatives unloaded on Mueller through fake accounts on Facebook, Twitter and beyond, falsely claiming that the former FBI director was corrupt and that the allegations of Russian interference in the 2016 election were crackpot conspiracies. One post on Instagram — which emerged as an especially potent weapon in the Russian social media arsenal — claimed that Mueller had worked in the past with “radical Islamic groups.”
And Russia wonders why the whole planet hates them.
Who'd of thunk it?
Misinformation is Russias game, its exactly Putins specialty.
If true lets hope his game face is a bit lacking
The worst thing is that far-right conservatives don't care that the Russians are behind all of this. Many of them trust Russia Today over any legitimate news organization in the country. And it's in no small part because Putin has reinvented himself as an anti-gay, pro-"christian" "family values" politician.
The cultists are literally wearing this at sermons rallies

They've dropped all pretense, they are traitors to this nation and make no attempt to hide that.
The amount of people shocked:
So if its confirmed beyond a doubt that Russia was purposefully trying to destabilize The West... would we go to war over it?
Becoming a traitor to the country you (claim to) love to own the libs!!
How about a trade war, but without fatty traitor man at the helm
We didn't go to war over Russia murdering almost 300 NATO citizens, we won't go to war with them period.
Yeah, big fat Nope, nuclear weapons still exist.
If one side gets too pissed off/desperate, we will all pay the price.
Who would be surprised when the Russians have openly admitted to following Gerasimov Doctrine...
Nah, last time we decided to dick around in Russia things didn't go so well. I doubt anyone would care to recall that as an example though.

It would probably be even worse if we were to do so under these circumstances as well, if not at least more bloody.
At the least though we could do to not leave the Eastern European and Baltic states twisting in twisting in the wind if push came to shove, but I wouldn't count on us being willing to do that either.
These guys look old enough to have been growing up well around with the cold war, the soviet union and "the red menace".
I don't even want to know what would've become of them in McCarthy's era. The man despised self-avowed communists enough that he'd have had all of their ilk dumped into prisons without any trials.
1910's US was nothing compared to 1940's US, let alone today's US.
Hell the US intervention in Russian civil war was weak in general, so it's not like much effort was put either.
This is true, but I would argue that Russian capability has grown as well. On top of this Bolshevik forces had their hands full during the conflict, and weren't even able to offer their full, already underdeveloped forces. If things came to a head this time there would truly be blood.
I guess what I'm getting at is that we would suffer from the same question as before; what exactly are we doing here, what are our goals?
At this point Russia has become the equivalent of Swiper from Dora the Explorer.
They hide terribly, get called out, and then slink off to prepare for the next episode.
"Russia no rushing!"
