i have a rtx2080 16gb ddr4 2166mhz ram and i5 5600k and i am only getting 50-60 fps in rust while moving does any one know why
Try changing those few things then.
everything i have on the lowest possible accept graphics quality which is at 3 and draw distance at 2500 and thats it
Because you're below the minimum required specs.
Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
OS: Windows 7 64bit
Processor: Intel Core i7-3770 / AMD FX-9590 or better
Memory: 8 GB RAM
Graphics: GTX 670 2GB / AMD R9 280 better
DirectX: Version 11
Network: Broadband Internet connection
Storage: 20 GB available space
Rust is dependent on the CPU, your GPU is being bottlenecked (in this situation)
but is that what is giving me such low fps on rust i have seen videos with a 2080 in rust getting like 150 fps on max settings
Then reduce the draw distance.
i hope its the cpu im upgrading it to a i7 8700k and when i turn the draw distance all the way down it does not affect the fps at all
Download afterburner and turn on the stats so you can so see exactly what your computer is doing. Even with a bottleneck that's still pretty low with low settings
Are you certain vsync is off? When I upgraded my PC I had a handful of games that still ran like crap no matter what settings I used, and it turns out for whatever reason vsync really doesn’t like my monitor or something.
Yes, also how much MHz has your motherboard? And try to use SSD also will be helpful.
That shouldn't be the case , I was using an i3 6100 and a gtx 1060 6gb on medium to high settings in rust and I was regularly getting consistent 70-90 fps while moving around in open areas
