(CNN) A newly obtained document shows President Donald Trump signed a letter of intent to move forward with negotiations to build a Trump Tower in Russia, despite his attorney
Rudy Giuliani claiming on Sunday the document was never signed.
CNN's Chris Cuomo obtained a copy of the signed letter of intent that set the stage for negotiations for Trump condominiums, a hotel and commercial property in the heart of Moscow.
The letter is dated October 28, 2015, and bears the President's signature. When asked on Sunday about the letter, Giuliani incorrectly told CNN's Dana Bash that it had not been signed.
"It was a real estate project. There was a letter of intent to go forward, but no one signed it," Giuliani told Bash.
The non-binding document is also signed by Andrey Rozov, owner of I.C. Expert Investment Co., the Russian firm that would have been responsible for developing the property.
Trump did not tell the public during the 2016 presidential campaign that his company explored the business deal with Russia and instead repeatedly claimed he had "nothing to do with
Russia." But the project, which was ultimately scrapped, would've given Trump's company a $4 million upfront fee, no upfront costs, a percentage of the sales and control over
marketing and design. The deal also included an opportunity to name the hotel spa after Trump's daughter Ivanka.
Giuliani suggested on Sunday that Trump had spoken with Michael Cohen, Trump's corporate attorney at the time, later than January 2016 about the proposed Moscow project, and
said in an interview with ABC that the conversations may have gone as far as toward the end of the general election period.
In 2017, Cohen told congressional committees investigating Russian interference in the 2016 election that Trump had signed the letter. Donald Trump Jr. also testified to Congress that
his father signed the letter of intent.
"That document is fake news I didn't sign the document you're holding right now in front of me."
Shame he didn't tell everyone that in court itself
Doesn't matter, Rudy just walked up and ate the entire paper himself.
The ultimate irony is if the forum shuts down just before Trump gets impeached, thereby preventing Smurfy from posting the thread forever.

We've seen the letter before but without Trump's signature on it.
Let's not forget the email it came attached to:

Can someone fill me in on the whole "forum shutting down" bit? I keep seeing it mentioned and I'm not sure whether to take it seriously or not.
It's serious. Garry is unsure whether the forums are 'worth the effort' and is considering whether or not to keep them up.
Garry doesn't see the value in this forum in the modern era of Discord etc. The only thing stopping him is because shutting this site down would be "a shame". He's making a decision next month.
I'm certain Garry understands the precise value of it. What I'm less certain about is whether or not Garry has just given up on the forums, doesn't want to maintain it, doesn't want to hand it off to anyone, and so is just seeking a way to 'make it end'.
Oh shit, thanks for filling me in. Kinda worried now.
He's probably burned out from Newpunch and doesn't want responsibility for it like so many other Facepunch projects.
Maybe he shouldn't have made it 10 times more complicated making a custom forum softwre
It's the classic "spend tons of effort on the new shiny thing then burn out and wash your hands of it" shtick. For another example see here
To play devil's advocate for a moment I kinda see how Garry can feel that the forum is a liability at this point. The garrys mod, rust and actual facepunch-related subforums are among the least used and other facepunch mainstays such as the Team Fortress community are diminishing/squabbling since the game simply does not update that much anymore. Same thing with the Valve community at large. That said I naturally want the forum to stay!
Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?
“Around 2-4 months.”

What a funny way to spell 'years'.
I hope the sunk cost fallacy helps keep this forum up
i wanna believe
I'm shocked, shocked I tell ya, that Giuliani was outed as a liar. /s
